What is energy in energy healing?


Across traditions, energy is seen as the vital life force that sustains us, chi in Chinese medicine, prana in Indian philosophy, ruach in Hebrew thought. From my perspective, energy is the Divine Light that fills every cell and flows through all of creation.


When this light moves freely, we feel balanced and resilient. But when we carry heavy blocks often created by stress, fear, or unresolved trauma, the flow is disrupted. Energy healing helps to gently release those blocks and infuse more light, allowing harmony to return to both body and mind.

What is emotional healing?


Emotional healing is the art of truly listening to your body and soul, noticing the feelings, patterns, and inner messages that often get lost beneath the noise of daily life. It invites you to ask:


  • What am I holding onto that is ready to be released?

  • Why do the same cycles and patterns keep repeating in my life?

  • What deeper meaning is my experience trying to show me?


Rather than pushing emotions aside, emotional healing allows them to rise, be acknowledged, and gently let go. In this process, you begin to uncover the wisdom within your struggles and reconnect with the strength and clarity of your true self.


What are the different forms of energy healing?


Energy healing comes in many forms, including:


  • Reiki: Using gentle touch or hands held near the body to restore flow.

  • Chakra balancing: Clearing and aligning the body’s main energy centres.

  • Angelic healing: Inviting support from angelic or higher energies to bring comfort, guidance, and balance.

  • Sound therapy: Using vibration to shift blocked energy.


All share the same intention, to bring you back into balance. Some approaches also draw on spiritual traditions within Reiki itself. Kabbalistic Reiki, for example, is a very powerful form of Reiki that blends traditional Reiki with the wisdom of Kabbalah, guiding clients to reconnect with their soul’s purpose. How can you ground yourself? A simple practice


Here’s a simple practice you can try now:


  1. Stand or sit with your feet flat on the ground.

  2. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and imagine roots growing from your feet into the earth.

  3. With each inhale, draw up calmness, security, and strength from the ground.

  4. With each exhale, release tension, fear, or overwhelm into the earth, knowing it can hold and transform it.


Spend a few minutes here and notice how your body softens and your mind becomes clearer. This is a grounding way to return to your centre anytime you need it. Better still, try it barefoot outside in nature to deepen the connection.
