Turning fifty didn’t just feel like a milestone for me, it felt like a spiritual launch. This decade arrived like a divine announcement, “Daughter, the refining season is over. Step into the world and shine.” For years, my journey could only be described as a “scatter box experience.” I wasn’t scattered because I lacked direction, I was scattered because God was shaping me in private, preparing me through life, work, motherhood, faith, and fire. I lived inside a figurative box, not trapped, but protected, strengthened, refined, and equipped. And then one day, I felt the shift. The box opened. Purpose stepped forward. And Tanisha Taylor Coaching was born.

The second half of my life is the moment where education and experience meet creativity, passion, and divine purpose. Twenty-plus years in a career gave me structure, discipline, and resilience. But now? God has called me outside the comfort zone into a mission designed for impact, specifically for the young adults stepping into the world just as I once did.

This is why I say, with joy and confidence, "Welcome to adulthood".

Welcome to a journey where young adults don’t have to guess, wander, or fall into avoidable pitfalls. Instead, they can follow a simple, guided path, one step at a time, with tools, wisdom, and support rooted in faith, family, finance, and fitness.

Rooted in family, raised in faith

My passion for young adults started long before coaching ever existed in my mind. It began with my own young adulthood, shaped by the prayers, guidance, and Christian values my mother modeled for me. She taught me wisdom, my father taught me identity. Together, they gave me the gift of belonging, strength, and foundation.

But I also know not everyone grows up with that kind of support. Life doesn’t grant every young adult a cheering section, a strong family, or even the desire to listen when support is available.

So I asked myself:

  • “What happens to the young adult who doesn’t have what I had?”

  • “What happens to the one who wants more but doesn’t know how to build it?”

In August 2022, I started Tanisha Taylor Coaching to answer those questions with action. I set out to take what many people call “the complicated adult world” and break it into simple, foundational steps, the kind that build stable futures, strong habits, healthy finances, and purposeful lives.

Young adults are powerful. They are creators, dreamers, innovators, and leaders in the making. They simply need tools, guidance, and a community to help them shape the life they envision.

Invisible work, hidden refining

My career path in banking never fully used the best parts of me, yet it still grew me. I was always a hard worker, the one with the quick solutions, the one who could make things happen, the one who believed in excellence, no matter the position. Promotions followed me because effort was my signature.

But behind the scenes, something deeper was happening. The purpose was developing in the dark. And my greatest leader, my mother, taught me the one formula that has guided my entire life, follow Christ in everything, and success will follow you.

Now, with years of hindsight behind me, I can say confidently that my entire journey worked because I used the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit method. That’s the secret sauce. That’s the peace. That’s the joy. That’s the hope.

The fire of calling

My passion didn’t start in adulthood, it started in childhood when I first learned what it meant to have a relationship with God. Every major decision in my life has been led by prayer. Every dream has been fueled by obedience. And every victory has been the result of consistency and accountability.

As a natural goal-setter, I love seeing people win.

I love watching young adults take ownership of their story, their success, their mistakes, and their transformation. When I see that spark in their eyes, the moment purpose ignites, I see a reflection of my younger self and everything God helped me become.

This is why my coaching focuses on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and life foundations. These tools change outcomes. They break cycles. They build futures. They turn uncertainty into confidence.

Born a tiger

I’ve always known I wasn’t designed to blend in. I don’t follow trends, I set them. There’s a tiger spirit inside me, direct, strong, determined, and steady. That same spirit has shown up throughout my life and business journey.

My faith only intensifies that fire. The more I lean into God, the stronger the tiger becomes. And now, I’m ready to pass that fire forward, to help young adults find their own strength, identity, and boldness.

A legacy stretching generations

My love for financial empowerment started with my grandfather. With limited education but incredible wisdom, he showed me the importance of having a healthy relationship with money.

And then there’s the lineage of women in my family, four generations of entrepreneurs and CEOs, my grandmother, my mother, myself, and even my daughter. Business ownership isn’t just a job for us, it’s in our DNA.

I want the same for young adults. Not defined by age. Not limited by circumstances. But thriving in all four life pillars, faith, family, finance, and fitness. Legacy isn’t only about what you leave, it’s about what you build and who you become along the journey.

The résumé behind the woman

First-generation college graduate. MBA. Real estate license. Professional certifications. Certified entrepreneur. Virtual & future coach. Recognized women-owned, minority-owned business. Speaker. Trainer. Author.

A lifetime of “make things happen” moments. But the accomplishments I cherish the most aren’t in any ceremony or certificate. They’re the private, divine encounters that shaped my faith, guided my steps, and connected me to the right people at the right time.

Those quiet moments? Those are the true victories.

Leadership as service

To me, leadership is simple, serve. The greatest leaders aren’t the ones in the spotlight, they’re the ones in the trenches. The ones who believe in people, believe in the vision, and stand with their team through failure and success. Leadership is character. It’s integrity. It’s humility. It’s heart.

The joyful place in my heart

My sanctuary is praise. When life shifts, and it always does, praise steadies me. Worship anchors me. God fills me. In His presence, I find rest, clarity, empowerment, and freedom.

And I want every young adult to know this truth. Praise is a weapon. Worship is a foundation. God is faithful.
