From London Burnout to Sicily Breakthrough – Interview with RRT™ Creator, Radost Rasheva

RTT™ may open the door to rapid change, but this conversation goes further, into how subconscious reprogramming, somatic integration, and nervous system regulation converge to create transformation that actually holds. From one life-altering session to the creation of a three-phase method, this interview explores what it takes to move beyond insight and install lasting change at every level.

What first drew you to RTT™, and how did it change your direction professionally?


One session. Ninety minutes. Twenty-four years of anxiety and people pleasing were gone. I had spent 14 years teaching and leading UK schools. I was good at it. Promotions, results, respect. Underneath all of it, a constant hum, not enough, not enough, not enough. I people-pleased my way through every corridor, burying it in busyness. Then I lost close family members, and there was nothing left to hide behind, or maybe from.


That RTT™ session took me back to the root. I came out feeling lighter than I had at ten years old. A week later, I enrolled with Marisa Peer and graduated as a Rapid Transformational Therapist. A year later, I left London for Sicily and built Root and Rise Hypnotherapy from scratch. I was 43. I had never been more certain of anything.


But RTT™ alone wasn't the full picture of what I, and subsequently my clients, needed. Practice showed me that subconscious reprogramming lands deeper when the body is brought into the process, not as an add-on, but as part of the method. That's what led me to develop Root & Rise HypnoTherapy™. RRT™ takes RTT™ as its clinical foundation and integrates breathwork and sound healing at precise points across three phases, Root, Reframe, and Rise. Each element has a specific job. Nothing is decorative.


What actually happens in the subconscious during an RRT™ session that allows change to happen so quickly?


Your subconscious runs 95% of your behavior. It's software installed before you were seven. Your conscious mind, the part responsible for setting goals and reading self-help books, controls the other five. That's why willpower alone never sticks.


RRT™ uses Hypnosis to bypass the conscious guard entirely. In that state, the brain is at peak neuroplasticity, and that is where the Root phase begins. We regress to the original event. A six-year-old hears "good but do better next time" and wires the belief "achieve or become invisible."


The Reframe phase reprograms live. The adult self re-enters that scene and delivers what the child never received. Hypnotic language cascades, "Your worth exists independent of your output." This is also where sound healing enters, and 432Hz gong work dissolves the cortisol held in the body at a cellular level, doing what language alone cannot reach.


The Rise phase installs the new belief permanently through future pacing, repetition anchors, and 4-7-8 breathwork, which signals the vagus nerve that safety is the new baseline. New neural pathways don't take months. They fire in the session. Talk therapy shows you the iceberg from shore. RRT™ rewrites it underwater.


How do you identify the specific belief driving someone's current patterns?


Fourteen years of teaching children gave me a particular kind of vision. I can hear a belief before someone names it. The Root phase uses timeline regression, "Take your mind's elevator backwards." An executive lands at age six and remembers her brother praised, her drawing ignored. Her throat tightens. Her chest goes heavy. The body always knows before the mind admits it.


One question, "Little you, what belief kept you safe back then?" The answer comes immediately. "Stay small. Stay safe." Then, "Does that belief serve the CEO you are today?"


The gasp is always the same. "I never connected those." That's the precision of regression work. It doesn't surface vague impressions. It timestamps exactly, the age, the room, the sensory detail, the emotional charge. My background in child development lets me read what those details mean clinically, whether it's a caregiver's projection, a cultural praise clash, or a sibling dynamic. The Reframe phase then works surgically on exactly that moment, not a generalization of it.


Why do high-functioning people appear successful while feeling hollow inside?


Because success becomes the proof of the wound, not the cure for it. You hit every target. You finish every list. Sunday evening arrives with a dread you can't name. That's the subconscious equation. Childhood "not enough" multiplied by perfectionism equals permanent sympathetic overdrive. Racing pulse. Shallow breath. Snapping at the people you trust most.


The hustle isn't ambition. It's a survival strategy from childhood, wearing a LinkedIn profile. RRT™ addresses this at all three levels. The Root phase exposes the original wiring, often a single throwaway comment from a teacher or parent that the child's mind turned into a life rule. The Reframe phase, supported by 432Hz sound work, dissolves the cortisol and nervous system charge held around that memory. The Rise phase installs the replacement belief somatically, through breathwork anchoring, so it lives in the body, not just the mind.


One oil VP said after her sessions, "I stopped covering for everyone just to stay in control. I started delegating without guilt." That's not a mindset shift. That's a nervous system that finally has somewhere safe to land.


Where does traditional therapy fall short for lasting change?


Talk therapy is a flashlight in a dark warehouse. You can illuminate every corner, name the wound, trace it back, understand the pattern perfectly, and still repeat it every Monday morning. Insight without reprogramming is just an expensive mirror.


Mindset coaching is surface work. Affirmations applied to an unresolved subconscious belief are wallpaper over damp. The stress arrives, and they dissolve.


What sets RRT™ apart isn’t only its foundation but it’s the precise sequencing of when and how healing unfolds within the client’s mind, body, and nervous system.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Breathwork in the Rise phase isn't a relaxation technique. It's vagal tone training that teaches the nervous system that regulation is available, not just conceptually true. Sound healing in the Reframe phase isn't atmosphere. It's working at a frequency the body responds to when language has reached its limit. The three phases are designed to move through subconscious, somatic, and behavioural layers in one arc.


One client traded eight years of CBT for two RRT™ sessions. Not because CBT failed her. It gave her understanding. But she'd finally found the level where change could actually be installed.


What's a simple first step for someone recognizing people pleasing in themselves?


The 60-second Root Audit, a distillation of the Root phase, is available anywhere. The trigger arrives, a weekend "urgent" email from the boss. Before you respond, take three rounds of 4-7-8 breathing, in through the nose for four, hold for seven, out for eight. This is the same breathwork anchor used in RRT™'s Rise phase. It down-regulates the stress response so you can actually access what's underneath.


Then one question, "What am I protecting from childhood right now?" Write one line. "Six-year-old me needed safety. Thirty-eight-year-old me chooses boundaries."


That's it. A week of this, and the answer comes faster each time. The guilt quiets. Ninety percent of workshop participants set their first real boundary within seven days, not because they found courage, but because they finally understood what they were actually afraid of.


How can someone regulate their nervous system without adding more to an already full plate?


Ninety seconds. Three times a day. Morning, stress spike, pre-sleep, three rounds of 4-7-8 breath. Add one sensory anchor, cold water on the wrist or 20 seconds of 432Hz tone from your phone. Hand on heart, "I am safe to rest."


This is a simplified version of what the Rise phase builds in full, consistent vagal signaling until regulation becomes the nervous system's default, not an effortful choice. RRT™ employs the 4-7-8 breath pattern because it reliably and swiftly activates the parasympathetic nervous system response, requiring no stillness or meditation cushion. This technique functions effectively mid-meeting, during meltdowns, or in the midst of a 2 a.m. anxiety spiral. Client data shows an average 50% drop in anxiety within 14 days of consistent practice. One client put it plainly, "I stopped living in caffeine survival mode. I started actually being present."


What does "I am enough" actually look like in practice, beyond the affirmation?


It looks like decision architecture built on a nervous system that actually believes it. The difference between an affirmation and an embodied belief is location. An affirmation lives in the prefrontal cortex. An embodied belief lives in the body, in breath, posture, and the speed at which you recover from criticism. That's what the three phases of RRT™ are designed to create. The Root phase finds where "not enough" was first installed. The Reframe phase replaces it at the subconscious level, with sound healing releasing the somatic charge that's kept it locked in. The Rise phase anchors the new truth through breathwork repetition until the nervous system broadcasts it automatically.


When that shift lands, everything around you reorganizes. Teams follow differently. Relationships stop being managed from fear. One executive described it as "leading from overflow for the first time."


That's what "I am enough" actually is. Not something you say to yourself in the mirror. Something your nervous system stops needing to argue against.


What would you say to someone who's tried everything and still feels stuck?


The loop is protecting something. Before trying another approach, ask, "What's the hidden payoff in staying here?" Sometimes it's avoiding rejection. Sometimes it's identity. The hustle has become who you are, and releasing it feels like disappearing. The reason capable, motivated people stay stuck isn't a lack of effort. It's that they're applying conscious tools to a subconscious structure. The 95% doesn't respond to trying harder.


RRT™ was built for exactly this. The Root phase gets underneath the protection of the original wound. The Reframe phase, with somatic and sound support, works at the level where the belief was first created, not just understood but genuinely replaced. The Rise phase ensures the new pattern has a place to live in the body, not just the intellect.


My own story is the proof of concept. London burnout to Sicily clarity through one RTT session and other modalities over a year, and then my own healing journey blueprint and development of what became RRT™, because I kept seeing clients, just like myself, who needed more than reprogramming alone.
