Sebastien Fenelon is the Founder & CEO of InthraOS, a privacy-first operating system that brings modern AI to the edge, on devices organizations control. His work centers on Small Language Models and edge-native pipelines that keep sensitive data local while delivering the speed, auditability, and governance required in regulated environments such as healthcare, defense, and financial services.

Sebastien Fenelon, Founder & CEO of InthraOS

Who is Sebastien Fenelon?

Sebastien Fenelon is a Haitian-born tech founder, product designer, and visionary builder working at the intersection of privacy, autonomy, and intelligent systems. He is the Founder of InthraOS, a privacy-first operating system for agentic AI at the edge. From a young age, Sebastien had a deep fascination with how systems worked – whether building digital tools, understanding human motivation, or capturing visual stories through photography. By age 14, he was designing posters, running small tech projects, and publishing visual media.

What makes his journey unique is its foundation in resilience. Raised in Haiti, Sebastien built his first platform with limited infrastructure – turning obstacles into resourceful design. His current work with InthraOS reflects this same philosophy: building powerful systems that protect and empower, especially in constrained environments. Outside of work, he’s passionate about global storytelling, decentralized tech, and building tools that give people back control.

What inspired you to start your journey in this industry?

It began with a sense of discomfort – watching how centralized AI was eroding privacy, even in well-meaning systems. Most people don’t realize that every interaction with cloud-based AI leaves a trail. That reality hit harder growing up in regions where consent and data protection weren’t a given. I saw an opportunity to rethink the default – and started sketching out what a local-first, trust-by-design AI OS might look like.

InthraOS was born from that urgency. It’s not just about tech – it’s about reshaping how intelligence is deployed: private by default, sovereign in design, and usable in any corner of the world.

What sets your approach apart from others in your field?

Most platforms prioritize scale first, ethics later. Our approach flips that: we design for privacy, control, and context from the start. InthraOS is not just another AI tool – it’s infrastructure built for trust. We embed safeguards at the OS level, support edge deployment of language models, and offer compliance-native modules for industries that can’t afford compromise (like health, finance, or defense).

We also blend systems design with storytelling. Whether someone is deploying an internal agent, syncing private data, or onboarding to our SDK, the experience is built to feel personal – not extractive. That’s our edge.

Why is now the right time for businesses to seek your expertise?

The AI wave is no longer hypothetical – it’s here. But so is the regulatory backlash. Companies today are under pressure to integrate intelligent systems without violating trust or losing control over data. That’s where we come in.

InthraOS isn’t a luxury – it’s a compliance moat and innovation accelerator. With frameworks like the EU AI Act and HIPAA tightening, every business deploying AI will need auditable, secure infrastructure. We offer that – plus speed, sovereignty, and local deployment. If businesses want to future-proof their AI strategy, the time to act is now.

What should potential clients expect when they first reach out to you?

They can expect a conversation rooted in clarity, care, and customization. We don’t push products – we diagnose needs. Whether it’s deploying local models for compliance, setting up privacy-first agents, or exploring integrations via our SDK, we start by understanding your architecture, your risks, and your goals.

Then we design a pilot – fast, focused, and secure. Our team handles the setup, compliance documentation, and testing. From there, we scale with confidence.

What common challenges do your clients face, and how do you address them?

Most of our clients face a tension between innovation and compliance. They want to integrate AI – whether for automation, analytics, or internal agents – but are blocked by regulatory uncertainty, privacy risks, or technical constraints like data locality or lack of internal ML ops teams.

We address this by removing friction. InthraOS provides plug-and-play tools to deploy models on-premise, handle audit-ready compliance (DPA, DPIA, etc.), and run agentic workflows locally without sending sensitive data to third parties. Our SDK and platform allow even non-technical teams to build compliant, privacy-first AI systems without losing velocity.
