Florence Benichou is a visionary movement specialist, dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve optimal physical and mental well-being through a unique and integrative approach. Her journey, rooted in the discipline and artistry of dance, has blossomed into a comprehensive practice that encompasses Pilates, Yoga, Assisted Stretching, and Personalized Nutrition.

As the founder of Flowingwithflow, an expansion of her initial endeavor, Flowingpilates (established in 2019), Florence has cultivated a sanctuary where movement becomes a pathway to healing, strength, flexibility, and profound self-connection. Her philosophy transcends mere physical fitness, emphasizing the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit, and empowering individuals to unlock their full potential.

Born and raised in France, Florence's early life was immersed in the world of dance. From a young age, she dedicated herself to rigorous training, mastering various styles and techniques. Dance was not merely a passion; it was a language, a means of self-expression, and a source of profound joy. However, the demanding nature of professional dance also exposed her to the realities of physical strain and injury. Witnessing the prevalence of back injuries and other physical ailments within the dance community ignited a desire within her to explore avenues for healing and prevention. This quest led her to the transformative practice of Pilates.

The seeds of Flowingpilates: Healing through movement

Intrigued by Pilates’ emphasis on core strength, precise alignment, and mindful movement, Florence delved into its principles and techniques. She discovered a profound connection between Pilates and the demands of dance, recognizing its potential to rehabilitate injuries, enhance performance, and promote overall well-being.

Inspired by her personal experience and driven by a desire to help others, Florence founded Flowingpilates in 2019.

Flowingpilates was more than just a fitness studio; it was a haven for individuals seeking relief from back pain, improved flexibility, and a deeper connection to their bodies.

Florence’s approach was deeply rooted in her understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and the specific needs of each individual. She meticulously crafted personalized Pilates programs, drawing upon her dance background and clinical experience to address imbalances, restore proper alignment, and promote functional movement.

Her clients experienced not only physical improvements but also a renewed sense of body awareness and self-confidence.

Expanding horizons: The birth of Flowingwithflow

Building upon the success of Flowingpilates, Florence envisioned a more holistic and comprehensive approach to well-being. She recognized that while Pilates provided a strong foundation for physical health, other modalities could further enhance the overall experience. In 2025, she embarked on an expansion, giving birth to Flowingwithflow, a platform designed to integrate Pilates with Yoga, Assisted Stretching, and Personalized Nutrition. This expansion reflected Florence's deep understanding of the interconnectedness of various disciplines and her commitment to providing clients with a truly transformative and comprehensive path to wellness.

The core of pilates: Strength, alignment, and awareness

Pilates, at the heart of Flowingwithflow, remains a cornerstone of Florence’s approach. She emphasizes the importance of engaging the core muscles, the body's powerhouse, in every movement. Her sessions are designed to strengthen the core, improve posture, and enhance overall stability. Florence teaches contemporary Pilates, infused with her rehabilitative expertise gained from working in clinics and studios around the globe. She meticulously guides her clients through each exercise, ensuring proper form and alignment to maximize benefits and prevent injury.

The result is a body that is not only stronger but also more balanced, flexible, and resilient.

Yoga: Finding harmony through breath and movement

Recognizing the importance of stress reduction and mental well-being, Florence became a certified Yoga teacher. She integrates yoga into Flowingwithflow as a means of calming the mind, releasing tension, and cultivating a sense of inner peace. Her Yoga sessions are not just about physical postures; they are about mindful movement, breath awareness, and connecting with the present moment. Florence’s Yoga sessions offer a unique blend of relaxation and strength, providing clients with a holistic experience that nourishes both body and mind. She is very detail-oriented and corrects all the postures in a very detail-oriented session.

Intense assisted stretching: Unlocking mobility and releasing tension

Florence's approach to Stretching goes beyond traditional static stretches. As a certified Stretch coach with her dancer background, she firmly believes in the power of Assisted Stretching to unlock mobility and release deep-seated tension. These private, one-on-one sessions involve Florence physically guiding and stretching her clients' bodies to their full potential. This hands-on approach allows for a deeper and more effective stretch, targeting tight muscles, improving flexibility, and restoring proper postural alignment.

Clients often report feeling significantly longer, lighter, and more relaxed after an Assisted Stretching Session, and this also can be a great way to prepare for an activity or exercise.

Personalized nutrition: Fueling the body and nourishing the soul

Recognizing that nutrition plays a vital role in overall well-being, Florence is developing a personalized nutrition program to complement the movement-based therapies offered at Flowingwithflow. She understands that everyone's nutritional needs are unique, depending on their lifestyle, activity level, and individual goals. Florence's nutritional guidance will focus on educating clients about the importance of balanced eating, mindful consumption, and the impact of food on their overall health. She will help them to understand the food that you eat, how to balance your food on a weekly basis, how to achieve your goals with your diet, and feel amazing at the same time with whatever activity you have in your life.

The Flowingwithflow experience: Personalized and adaptable

Florence understands that every client is different and that their needs may vary from day to day. She can make sessions of 30 minutes or 1 hour. Her sessions are highly adaptable, tailored to each individual's current physical and emotional state. Whether a client is seeking a relaxing and restorative session or an intense and challenging workout, Florence will adjust the program accordingly. Her ability to connect with her clients on a personal level, coupled with her deep knowledge of movement and healing, creates a truly transformative experience. Group sessions are less detailed but are still very intense, so that people understand alignment in their body.

A global perspective: Language and cultural fluency

Florence's international background and fluency in four languages (French, English, Spanish and Italian) allow her to connect with a diverse clientele. She is able to communicate effectively with clients from various cultural backgrounds, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Her ability to speak multiple languages also allows her to tailor her instruction to each client's specific needs, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Accessibility and convenience: Bringing Flowingwithflow to you

Based in New York City, Flowingwithflow offers a variety of convenient options to suit different lifestyles and preferences. Clients can choose to work with Florence privately at her studio in Brooklyn, in their own homes, or at their building's gym. She also offers group sessions at private residences or other locations, making it easy for friends and families to experience the benefits of Flowingwithflow together.

Florence can also travel to different areas in New York, such as Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, bringing all the equipment that is needed for your session.

Recognizing the increasing demand for virtual services, Florence also provides remote sessions via Zoom, allowing clients to access her expertise from anywhere in the world.

These Zoom sessions are carefully designed to be both detail-oriented and intense, ensuring that clients receive the same high-quality instruction as they would in person. Please note that Stretching Sessions can be virtual, but not the Assisted Intense Stretching, that is only in person.

Flowingwithflow for corporate wellness: Enhancing productivity and well-being

Florence recognizes the importance of employee well-being in the corporate environment. She offers customized programs for companies, designed to improve employees health, reduce stress, and enhance productivity. These programs can be delivered on-site at the company's location, online via Zoom, or in private at Florence's studio in Brooklyn. Her goal is to empower employees to feel more balanced, energized, and focused, leading to improved performance and overall job satisfaction.

Looking to the future: Expanding the reach of Flowingwithflow

Florence's vision for Flowingwithflow extends beyond her individual practice. She plans to expand her team by incorporating additional practitioners who share her philosophy and expertise. This will allow Flowingwithflow to reach a wider audience, providing services throughout the five boroughs of New York City and beyond.

The essence of Florence: A commitment to holistic well-being

Florence is more than just a Pilates instructor, yoga teacher, and stretch coach; she is a dedicated healer and wellness advocate. Her passion for movement, combined with her deep understanding of the human body and her commitment to personalized care, empowers individuals to unlock their full potential and achieve optimal well-being. Through Flowingwithflow, she has created a sanctuary where movement becomes a pathway to healing, strength, flexibility, and profound self-connection.
