1. Cindy, you’ve been in the financial services industry for over 25 years—what originally drew you to this field, and what continues to motivate you today?

Cindy Giovacchino: I’ve always been drawn to the idea of helping people build a more secure future. Early in my career, I saw firsthand how personalized financial guidance could change lives—not just in terms of wealth, but in giving people confidence and empowering them to make informed financial decisions. That inspired me to enter the field in 1998, and that passion has only grown stronger over the years. Today, what keeps me motivated is the long-term relationships I’ve built with my clients. I take pride in being someone they can rely on through every stage of life. When my clients succeed, I feel like I’ve succeeded, too.

2. Building a business is a major milestone. What has the first year of Gio Financial taught you about growth and leadership?Cindy Giovacchino: Starting Gio Financial was one of the most rewarding—and humbling—chapters of my career. As a woman building a business in a traditionally male-dominated industry, I’ve had to trust my instincts, stay focused on my values, and be willing to put in the work. And I don’t just mean strategic work—I’m talking about being hands-on in every sense. I grew up the daughter of a carpenter, and that upbringing taught me to be resourceful, to take pride in doing things myself, and to finish what I started. That same mindset helped me build a business from the ground up.

In our first year, Gio Financial has grown faster than I could have imagined. But I believe that growth has to be intentional. It’s not just about demand—it’s about building strong systems, having the right team, and staying aligned with your mission. For me, that means creating a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.

3. With such a full professional life, how do you stay grounded and energized?Cindy Giovacchino: I make it a priority to carve out time for the things—and people—that matter most. I love being outdoors, whether I’m gardening, landscaping, or hiking. That time in nature helps me reset. I also love spending time with my fiancé and our family, especially cheering on my son at his rugby games. On weekends, you might find us enjoying a live band, catching a game, or just relaxing in the yard. Those personal moments give me energy and remind me why I do what I do. It’s all about balance—staying focused, staying grateful, and never losing sight of what’s truly important.
