Tell us about yourself and your recent goals, and we would love to get to know you better!

In an era when mental health challenges and brain wellness needs are becoming more visible, my goal is to be at the forefront, bridging traditional therapy with advanced, evidence-based neuro-counseling solutions. As the owner of Authentic Brain Solutions, I am committed to helping clients move beyond surviving to thriving by leveraging innovative approaches tailored to their unique needs. My passion lies in empowering others to overcome obstacles and embrace their potential, using methods that combine science, compassion, and a deep understanding of the human experience.

Outside of my professional life, I am an encourager at heart. I believe in fostering authentic connections, which to me means building relationships based on honesty, empathy, and mutual respect. I create a safe space where people feel seen, heard, and valued. I also enjoy spending time with family, exploring nature, and diving into new learning opportunities, whether it is the latest neuroscience research or discovering a new hobby.

Please share a bit about your journey in mental health and what led you to establish Authentic Brain Solutions.

My journey into mental health was not linear, and it was born out of personal growth and professional evolution. I began my career in corporate America after earning a BBA in Finance and an MBA. Working with international corporations gave me invaluable skills and insight, but I realized a need to shift to a more personal, meaningful way of supporting others.

Recognizing the parallels between my corporate work, like problem-solving and listening, and the foundational elements of counseling inspired me to make the shift. Becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor allowed me to channel these skills into helping individuals navigate life's challenges. However, I noticed limitations in traditional counseling when it came to addressing issues like trauma, chronic anxiety, and cognitive decline. This emerging shift in my use of conventional counseling drove me to explore neuro-counseling and establish Authentic Brain Solutions.

Authentic Brain Solutions' work provides clients with cutting-edge solutions like IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback, a non-invasive therapy that uses low-intensity electrical currents to stimulate the brain, and EMDR, a psychotherapy that helps individuals process traumatic memories. These therapies go beyond symptom management to address the brain's underlying processes.

What values guide your approach to therapy and business?

Authenticity, compassion, and empowerment are at the heart of everything I do. I strive to create an environment where clients feel genuinely supported and respected. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, but it is also deeply personal. I tailor my methods to everyone, recognizing that every journey is unique.

Integrity and collaboration are vital to business owners. Building a practice that aligns with these values ensures we can collectively provide clients with the highest standard of care and innovation.

What is one thing you wish more people knew about mental health?

That seeking help is not a sign of weakness. It is an act of courage and self-care. Mental health struggles happen every day, and science has provided us with incredible tools to address them effectively. Whether EMDR therapy, neurofeedback, or a combination, there is always hope for change and growth. It is a brave step, and it is okay to take it.

What personal or professional achievement are you particularly proud of?

Professionally, I am proud of establishing Authentic Brain Solutions as a space where clients experience transformative results. Seeing someone reclaim their life after years of feeling stuck is not just gratifying, but it is a testament to the power of a neuro-counseling approach. It is a reminder that change is possible and is within reach.

On a personal level, I am proud of my ongoing commitment to learning and growth. Navigating the ever-evolving mental health landscape requires adaptability and a willingness to embrace new ideas, which I find invigorating. It is a journey I am on and one I am excited to share with you.

Where do you find inspiration for the work you do?

I am inspired by my clients' resilience. Watching them confront challenges and find their strength motivates me every day. I am also deeply inspired by advancements in neuroscience and the potential for innovative therapies to change lives.
