To have meaningful relationships, we must be willing to be emotionally vulnerable. It's the glue that holds intimate relationships together.

When you talk about your feelings, beliefs, hopes and dreams, it enhances feelings of closeness and deepens your relationships with others.

It helps others open up about their feelings, fears and vulnerabilities.

There is the security of knowing the other person has your back and vice versa when revealing things we feel sensitive about sharing.

Emotional vulnerability has the power to heal relationships and set you free. Free you from stress, anxiety, and overthinking things.

You start accepting yourself fully, find your voice, and step into your personal power.

How to Get Better at Being Emotionally Vulnerable:

  1. Stop worrying about what other people think of you.

  2. Practice being more emotionally vulnerable with the people closest to you. Express your feelings, wants and desires.

  3. Be brave and ask for what you need in friendships and relationships.

  4. If something is bothering you, speak up, don’t bottle things up. Have the difficult conversations to clear the air, find out where you stand or gain clarity on a situation.

  5. Be open and empathetic about hearing the views and wishes of others too, and really listen.

  6. Put healthy emotional boundaries in place with people that protect your needs.

  7. Accept and acknowledge your flaws and vulnerability, be gentle and kind with yourself.

  8. Surround yourself with people who love and support you.

Being Emotionally Vulnerable Takes Courage

When you are emotionally vulnerable and honest with other people, you will notice that they start responding differently to you.

Firstly, it allows people to get closer to you and understand you more.

It allows others to open up and express their truth and creates opportunities for healing in relationships.

It can also help you put healthy emotional boundaries in place with people in business, friendships, and family.

It can lead to everyone being more open and honest with each other.

You worry less about what people think and stand in your own truth.

Some bonds will deepen and get stronger.

And with others, you will see the truth of what is.

Don’t be afraid to do what’s right for you.

Love yourself, be authentic and honest about your feelings.

And most importantly, express them.

It has the power to change your life and your relationships!

Much love and blessings,
