For as long as there have been sacred texts recorded and practiced, there has been an emphasis on the importance of balance. The now-trending Yin and Yang philosophy dates back over 2,000 years as part of ancient Chinese philosophy and the I Ching. Yin and Yang represent opposite but complementary forces in life.

Without light, there can be no darkness, and without darkness, there cannot be light. Even in physics, one does not exist without the other. The contrast of creation is destruction, and at the end of our creation processes and bodily lives, there is the death of the earthly body. One of the theories best known to humankind since the beginning of time is that the death of the earthly body brings about more life.
It is known that what is created cannot be destroyed but only changes form from one to another. This is where the belief in reincarnation arises. To many, this means that we are born into a physical life on this earth plane, often with no memories of our past lives, but we are born into our soul family again. Some theories suggest that we simply change form into energy and become one with the universe. Other philosophies propose that we should be at peace with not knowing and embrace the belief that we are not singular beings but part of a collective energy that signifies oneness with the divine creation of the universe.
Living with a bombardment of information and not knowing which path to choose can be confusing, to the point where it brings about disillusion and tension in the mind and affects the body physically. By being self-aware and following your own sense of intuition to navigate your way through life, you create a balance between your physical, aspirational vocations, and spiritual journeys to the point where they become intertwined and complement each other.
This is balance. And with balance, and experience of the self, embracing your darkness and your light, together with the knowing and not knowing, you can turn this into a peaceful curiosity that amplifies your hope and courage to live an unapologetically authentic life path.
“What is meant for you may not be for somebody else, What may be for you may not be true for someone else, And what reality means for you is personal. The known and the unknown are also subject to experience, And we are all geniuses of our own guise.”
