Preeti Mistry, Relationship/Mindset/Life Coach

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

Hi! My name is Preeti Mistry and I am from New York. I am a person who wears many hats but tries not to identify with any one specific label. I play the role of a coach, a dentist, a daughter, a cousin, a friend, a dancer, a painter, a nature lover, a traveler, and a writer, to name a few. I see myself simply as a being that’s here to live life to her fullest potential in whichever way that may come to manifest or unfold and use my abilities to help the world, even if it’s one person at a time. The transition into life coaching and dating/relationship coaching happened once I became a Jay Shetty Certified Life and Success Coach, and my chosen niche as a dating/relationship mindset coach has been due to my never-ending curiosity about understanding the dynamics between people in relationships, desire to help foster stronger human connection, and also due to my own personal challenges in dating/relationships in the past and those around me.

What is your business name and how do you help your clients?

Best Self Forward LLC is the name of my coaching company and as a dating/relationship mindset coach, I love working with single professionals/entrepreneurs who have seen success in their career side of life, but the relationship side of their life is not quite happening, and they do desire to be in a long term, healthy, meaningful relationship. Through my 1:1 coaching program, I help them discover and work through any inner hidden resistance they may have to find love and then empower them to create the love life they desire.

What do you feel is your vision?

My purpose and vision are twofold. On a relationship level, I want to help people move away from the superficiality many of us face in relationships into ones with a more meaningful and deeper connection so that we feel more seen, heard and fulfilled in life. And on a mindset level, I would like to help create a world where we focus more on our possibilities instead of our impossibilities so that we are more in tune with creating a life that is aligned with our deepest desires and can experience the joy and fulfillment we are meant to in this life.

Who inspires you to be the best that you can be?

As someone who sees Life as a spiritual journey, I believe God or my Creator (whatever you want to call it) has been the biggest inspiration. I do believe we are here to be an expression of Love, something we all are at the innermost level and have the capability of being. Every now and then, when things get tough, a gentle reminder of “Am I operating from my Higher Self or my Ego?” is what helps me during pivotal moments and helps me stay on course. It’s not always easy, but learning to surrender sometimes and having faith when I know I have done everything possible on my end has been part of the process that continues to inspire a general trust in Life within me.

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

I would change the way in which life/relationship coaching is perceived by many. Coaching is a process that helps you go within and understand yourself and your emotions and how to relate to others in a healthy, emotionally intelligent way. It is a skill that, unfortunately, was not being taught in schools when I grew up, yet it is a powerful skill to have. We can be all the book-smart we want, but it’s understanding how to navigate relationships and understanding our own mindset and emotions and how to deal with them that I believe allows true success to flow or not flow into our life. Whether it’s at work, with friends, with our family, or with a romantic partner – it’s all relationships. If people can learn to value their own and each other’s inner well-being as much as their material possessions, you will have the key to mastering your life. Coaching is not a simple purchase like an electronic gadget with an expiration date, but an investment in yourself that you will be able to use throughout your life.

Where can people find you and is there anything you would like to offer to your audience?

Best place to find me is on my Instagram or LinkedIn page and just DM me. If anyone feels like they have wasted a lot of time trying to navigate the dating/relationship world all by themselves and are finally ready to try something different, I’m offering a complimentary 1:1 breakthrough coaching call to those that are interested. If you’re tired of coming home on a Friday night to no one special, book the call here.
