Your body is communicating with you every second of every day. Unfortunately, so often we ignore the subtle signs. We ignore the smaller sensations on the skin, the tingling, the numbness, the tiredness, the tension, the restrictions, the pain. We continue to push through. We never stop to question ours, "What is this pain/sensation/tiredness/illness trying to tell me?" We don't ask ourselves the deeper questions and then wonder why we are not aligned, why we are not where we want to be in life, and/or why we have such a doubting and frustrated mind.

Taking the time to stop and become aware of your body sensations, pain, and triggers allows a deeper awareness of yourself to develop. Learning to slow down enough to be able to truly listen and understand the body's cues and vibrations is an art in itself but the more you come back into your body and out of your head, you begin to master the inner world and by doing so you can use specific techniques to make the changes you personally need to shift, let go and relax.
What is fascia?
Everything is connected. What is affecting your mind, body, or soul is affecting your mind, body, and soul.
Body ailments are multifaceted. Whether it's through direct trauma to the physical body or through daily stressors, illness, posture dysfunctions, chronic stress, or emotional trauma, there are always numerous body systems intrinsically linked and trying to communicate with you.
An important connective tissue component that frequently provides communication with our felt sense and energetic body is Fascia. Fascia is a complex component of the body. It covers our bones, muscles, and organs whilst having superficial and deep layers to its structure. It can hold us out of alignment, it can restrict our posture and breathing, and it is vital to work when you want to address your pain. When assessment is carried out on the fascia, assessment is also carried out on the lymphatic and nervous systems as both of these systems run through its structure. Often, there is a much deeper reason for your pain, and due to the nervous system connection, your body's energetics and emotional state should always be managed in combination with fascia release.
Energetically and emotionally, specific body locations and parts refer to our emotional state. For example, the pelvis is related to our fears, the diaphragm is related to panic, and the abdominal muscle that links the two is the inability to process our emotions.
If we are struggling to digest the things in our life, food, relationship, thoughts, information, etc, then our breathing becomes shallow, causing our diaphragm to become restricted, which leads to the psoas muscle to tighten and our abdominal fascia to densify, causing the lymphatic fluid to build in these areas, leading to bloating, pelvis misalignment, and discomfort. Bloating leads to our transverse abdominal muscles turning off, which then causes lower back pain (LBP). LBP relates to our guilt, shame, and unworthiness.
Body work through myofascial release and lymphatic drainage is ideal to start shifting these areas from a physical point of view, but if you are not looking at the underlying energetic components alongside these treatments, the truth is, the pain, digestion issues, heightened emotions, and misalignment will just continue to surface in the physical body. This, of course, just leads to further frustration and anger due to the never-ending cycle of pain and other body complaints that are all entwining with the underlying fact that we are not willing to face, accept, and love certain aspects of ourselves.
Energy, vibration & its effects
Considering we are energy at the most cellular level, our mitochondria, and live in a sea of energy, this is an important area for us to focus on when we are starting to look at our emotional health. Everything in the manifested creation is vibrating with energy. Solid objects are vibrating (even though they are at a lower frequency), some vibrations are sounds which we can hear with our ears, and some are silent, like our thoughts, which are electromagnetic vibrations.
Everything in our universe corresponds to a specific frequency, and that's why doing affirmations can have such a profound effect on our well-being, alignment, and overall health. By vibrating at a particular combination of sounds, you are tuning into various levels of intelligence or consciousness. The vibration you are putting out is what you are attracting into your life.
In reference to David Hawkins' scale of consciousness, the contracted emotion of shame vibrates at the energetic log frequency of 20, guilt vibrates at 30, grief vibrates at 75, fear vibrates at 100, and anger vibrates at 150. Shame is our lowest vibration that we can carry in our body.
The aim is to raise our vibration into the more expanded energetic frequencies of love (which vibrates at the energetic log frequency of 500), joy (that vibrates at 540), and peace (that vibrates at 600).
Each of our chakras corresponds with a frequency as well, which is why sound therapy can be so effective.
Mantra
Mantra is another way we can start to consciously choose to direct our attitudes or beliefs into something positive, peaceful, and empowering. This leads us to take responsibility. To address and release that which no longer serves, so we can start to live the life we want and desire. By chanting a mantra, we are not only attracting that vibrational match, but we are stimulating our vagus nerve, which will encourage the parasympathetic nervous system to activate (the rest and digest system).
Naad is another term for mantra, and means "the essence of all sound". This is a particular vibration or a fundamental frequency that comes from a sound current. When we can tap into these sound currents, we can alter our consciousness by changing the chemical composition of the fluid in the brain. This is done by the use of the tongue that stimulates the meridian points on the roof of the mouth. These meridian points stimulate the hypothalamus, which makes the pineal gland radiate, which then creates the pulse in the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is our master gland and will direct our entire glandular system to secrete. By stimulating the glands, you are bringing homeostasis back to the mind, body, and spirit.
In addition to the wonderful aspects this can bring back to our mind, for women, stimulating these powerful glands can have a positive impact on hormonal, immune, and emotional health. When we stimulate the hypothalamus, pituitary, and pineal gland, we stimulate Luteinizing Hormone (LH), which starts the process of converting secreted hormones into estrogen. Estrogen is the hormone that promotes the development and maintenance of the female reproductive structure, increases protein anabolism, lowers blood cholesterol, and moderates levels of ovarian follicles and growth.
Kundalini Yoga & Meditation uses mantra, mudra, breath, and focus points to help stimulate these glands and is a wonderful practice to introduce into your daily routine so you can experience the energetic, glandular, and nervous system changes yourself.
Other modalities that can help your body
As for sessions that can support your energetic body, Root-Cause Therapy is a regression-based modality that allows completion of unprocessed emotions. Once the unprocessed emotions have been released, any triggers, unwanted thoughts, behaviours, and symptoms can ease and resolve in your current life.
Another modality is Reiki & Energy Healing. This modality taps into the 'wave level' of your consciousness and supports the movement and balancing of the chakra system, which also correlates to specific emotions and body locations.
Both of these modalities provide a self-healing process that provides a safe container for discovering the actual causation of the current unease within the body, which is ultimately empowering and liberating.
Conclusion
Whatever sensation, pain, or restriction you are feeling in the body, it always has a deeper layer for release. If you allow and work with all of your systems, you can release the density and increase the vibration, which does and will lead to balance, calm, peace, and love in your mind, body & spirit.
