There has always been Vogue magazine. From my first cycle of womanhood through the final days of perimenopause, Vogue has been my ever-present mentor, whispering inspiration, shaping my creative eye, and standing as a timeless beacon of beauty and storytelling.

The image features a stylish woman posing against a light-colored wall. She is wearing a pink bikini top, oversized sunglasses, and hoop earrings.

I grew up in the ’80s, before the digital age, when glossy pages were sacred portals. Back then, I wasn’t scrolling; I was flipping through Vogue, Mademoiselle, and Harper’s Bazaar, each issue tucked inside my French textbook as if it were my most treasured secret. While my classmates conjugated verbs, I was lost in Parisian couture, editorial spreads, and dreamlike photography that felt like it belonged to another world. Those pages weren’t just fashion; they were a language, one I was determined to learn fluently.

Somewhere between absorbing the high drama of Helmut Newton’s shoots and idolizing Linda Evangelista’s ever-changing chameleon looks, I stumbled upon another section that would change my life: the horoscopes. Astrology in Vogue was my first invitation into the metaphysical world. What began as casual curiosity soon became an obsession, a calling. Those celestial predictions sparked a lifelong passion, guiding me toward using astrology in my career as an intuitive reader, clairvoyant, and healer. What Vogue had done for my creative eye, astrology did for my soul, gave me a way to see beyond the surface and read the patterns of life like a well-curated editorial spread.

But Vogue didn’t just shape my love for fashion and astrology; it quite literally guided me toward my career. My obsession with fashion photography led me, organically and effortlessly, into the music industry, where I spent two decades as a Creative Producer in the Music Industry in New York City and Los Angeles. At PolyGram Records, Island Def Jam, and Verve Records, I found myself doing something surreal: flipping through the massive, custom-made leather and metal portfolios of the very photographers whose work had shaped my childhood. Patrick Demarchelier. Bruce Weber. The same icons whose images I once stared at in awe were now the artists I was hiring for photo shoots. The full-circle moment wasn’t lost on me; I had stepped into the pages of my own editorial dream.

Fashion, for me, has never just been about clothing. Like astrology, it is storytelling, energy, and identity. It is an alchemy of fabric and feeling. That understanding led me to create my own small custom clothing line, Mohka Pink Pony, a love letter to personal style. Every piece I sew is infused with the same passion that once had me breathlessly studying Vogue’s September issue like it was a sacred text. And just as I did back then, I still turn to my forever fashion professor Elsa Klensch, watching reruns of her 90s show, This Is Style, on YouTube, taking in every detail, every philosophy of dress.

Now, Sarasota, Florida, is my backdrop for artistic expression. Here, I weave together the worlds of astrology, wellness, and style, living in a city where the sunsets feel like divine brushstrokes against the sky. Whether I’m reading a birth chart, designing a garment, or writing about cosmic shifts, Vogue is always there, a constant companion, an eternal muse.

Through every reinvention, every transition, and every era of womanhood, Vogue has remained. A steady pulse of inspiration. A mentor without words. A reflection of the beauty in evolution.

And as the cosmic tides shift, with the North Node of destiny and Venus, the planet of beauty and fashion, dancing alongside Neptune, the planet of dreams and illusion, in Pisces through 2025 and 2026, I know we are about to witness the birth of a new creative renaissance. Fashion, music, and art will transform once again.

And me? I’m still here, turning the pages of Vogue and still creating, still dreaming, still inspiring.

Still in the end days of the feminine mastery experience of perimenopause.

My true love for Vogue has always been with me.
