Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better. Hi there! My name is Maggie and my mission in life is to help singers become the best version of themselves so they can live their very best life. I’m passionate about helping others and about singing, so that’s how I like to combine both :)

I do this through coaching, courses, and our amazing membership community: The Singing Insiders.

Besides singing, I love playing the handpan, doing yoga and spend time with my two cuddly cats! What sets your Sing Your (Self) To Freedom Formula apart from other vocal coaching methods? Are there specific principles or techniques that you believe are particularly unique? What a great question! See, most vocal coaches or singing teachers focus on developing the voice. Hence they help you by working on making your voice sound on pitch, helping you to sing high notes (and low notes), and so on. What the Sing Your (Self) To Freedom Formula does differently is that it focuses on the person BEYOND the voice. Focussing on developing your voice is just one piece of the puzzle. However, I worked with many singers who have amazing voices but lack confidence for example. Or are afraid to perform or don’t know how to infuse their personality into a song. That’s why the Sing Your (Self) To Freedom Formula consists of 4 main pillars:

  1. Mindset: this is where we do the inner work so that you can sing full of confidence, regardless of what your singing goals are.

  2. Vocal Technique: this is where we work on developing your voice so you can experience vocal freedom and sing anything you want.

  3. Creativity: this is where we look at how you can sing a song in your own, unique and authentic way without being a copycat. This is where singing becomes fun, it’s how you express your emotions, tell your stories, and make a room full of people listen to what you have to share!

  4. Connection: it’s one thing to be able to sing, it’s a whole other thing to

share that with others. In this pillar, we’re looking at how you can do that confidently. Whether you want to sing on stage, do an audition, sing a solo in your choir,…Whatever your singing goals, in this pillar we focus on how you can share your passion for singing with others without any fears or insecurities. In your decade of coaching, could you share a memorable success story or transformation where a student overcame insecurities and discovered a newfound freedom in their singing? Of course! There are so many! One example would be the Open Mic Sessions we organize every month in my membership for passionate singers, the Singing Insiders. I remember one singer who started their journey with us and was very shy. She would barely post anything or be afraid to ask for any feedback on her singing. By going through the curriculum and doing the mindset work, she started to open up more. During one of the Open Mic Sessions, she sang her song in front of all other Singing Insiders community members! This set her on a path to do this on a real stage in her hometown. Now she performs more frequently, almost once a month, and has truly found the freedom to express herself through singing! It’s amazing to see how one individual can go from being closed off and shy to fully authentic and open through music and singing. How do you integrate this philosophy into your coaching, and what impact do you believe singing can have on a person's life beyond the musical aspect? I love this! Because this exactly ties into my mission. See, many singers start working with me because they… Well… Want to learn to sing. But what they quickly discover is that singing is so much more than that! It’s a personal development journey! Singing makes you happy, makes you let go of stress, and helps you overcome doubts and insecurities, For many singers, singing is therapy! If you can overcome any difficulties when singing (like fears for example), you overcome this as a person, in daily life too. When singing, many people feel happier and that has an impact on your environment, your spouse, children, and colleagues. Just by taking the time to do something you love and learn a lot about yourself in the process, you’re making the lives of those around you happier. Isn’t that beautiful?! Looking ahead, what are your goals and aspirations for your business? Are there specific milestones or projects you are excited about for the future?

Yes! A year ago we launched a membership for passionate singers called: The Singing Insiders. My goal and aspiration are to make this the place to be for singers who want to become better singers and get guidance throughout their singing journey. This is the system that I wish I had when going through my own singing journey and I’m super passionate to share this with all the singers who need it out there!
