My husband and I have been getting our house ready to sell. I have been deep cleaning, cleaning out, packing up, and getting rid of everything we are not keeping. Since I have sworn to be a cleaner and more productive human as soon as we get in the new house, I have been thinking about what I will keep around and what my must-haves are. I want to find products, cleaning supplies, and anything else that will help a working parent have an easier time keeping a clean home.

Alexa One thing I love to do is turn my favorite podcast on, pour a cup of coffee, and start conquering the world! I seriously cannot live without my podcasts. When I am home alone, I crank it up and do a little cleaning. I have the Echo, and all I have to do is tell her what I want to listen to and what volume. She turns it right on for me. I also have one inside the salon. It helps the workday go by faster and gives us some entertainment while we transform our clients.

Roomba I find it difficult to keep up with all the dirt and hair that gets tracked through the house every day. When I finish work for the day, the last thing I want to do is sweep my whole house. I have a husband and a four-year-old son; I cannot go a week without vacuuming. My Roomba saves me!

Blue-ray – This year, my husband and I got rid of our cable and switched over to a blue-ray player with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. We love it! It saves money on our cable bill, and we get to watch what we want when we want. It made more sense to us because we work crazy hours. It also solves the problem of losing your recordings when the electricity goes out at our house.

Dyson Handheld – If you have pets, it works PERFECT on pet hair! Corners, suede, small places, all the things! Whenever I have time, I can sweep the mess to a corner of my room and vacuum it up with my handheld. It gets every last crumb of dirt and debris. I can reach high places, corners, hard-to-reach areas, and areas I can’t see. It just makes everything more convenient and efficient.

Diffuser – I decided to stop burning wax in my home last year and started diffusing essential oils. There are so many different blends pre-made now. You can fill your home with a stress-free blend, clean air blend, and even a happy blend. I love mixing them up and experimenting. It makes my workday less stressful, more productive, and I feel focused and ready to tackle my to-do list.

Light Ring Originally, I purchased a light ring to go Live on Facebook. Now I use it so much I am getting another one. It is an excellent tool to film videos, take selfies, product pictures, put on makeup, pluck your eyebrows, and even brighten up a room for office work or homework.

Vacuum Sealer – We bought my husband a food saver a few years ago since he is the chef in our family. He uses it all the time. We have not had any problems with it; he has sealed everything possible! It comes in handy when we go down to south Louisiana and bring home a bunch of meat. He seals it, puts it in the freezer, and pulls it out when cooking a big family dinner. A food saver will allow you to meal prep, buy in bulk, save money, and not have to worry about it going to waste—an excellent time-saver when you have a family and are trying to run a business.
