We go through life day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, and we get carried away in the process called life.

We are too busy with work, chores, family, and friends that we rarely stop and recognize that we take care of everyone else, everyone else’s needs but our own.

What happens next is that we always feel tired, not happy, not fulfilled and eventually we become sick, we become this irritated stressed person that just had enough. Remember everything starts from YOU and you are the only one who can change the way you feel or do things. So stop for a minute and ask yourself “ Do you care for yourself?”

Start by taking care of yourself first

In order for you to be a good parent, good wife, good partner, a good colleague, a good person start by caring about you first.

Before I give you the tips take a few minutes to reflect

How do you feel about yourself? How do you see yourself?

In which ways do you appreciate yourself?

How do you feel when you are alone with yourself?

In one regular day, how much time do you spend taking care of others v.s you?

Do you know yourself well? What does your heart /soul desire?

Here are the 3 steps to start your self-care routine

First Tip - Put Yourself First

Allocate 30 to 60 min a day, no matter what, and do some self-care routines from the 7 pillars ( physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, psychological, social, environmental, and professional well-being), anything that you love, explore, try something new.

Second Tip - Move Your Body

When you are feeling down, depressed and low with energy and you do not feel like doing anything, change your state.

Start moving. It can be a walk outside, dancing on your favourite music, playing with your kids, or playing with your dog.

Stretch, jump and do some movement. When you change your body state, your mind and your energy will follow.

Third Tip - Do Something New

Find something new that you have never done before, and do it. It can be anything from cooking, to drawing, to creating something new. Explore and do some fun activities. You can create a self-care tracker or a small challenge for yourself to do it in the next 30 days, every day.

I have created a tracker, so get in contact and I will send it to you.
