We’ve all been there, feeling stuck, invisible, overwhelmed, or just out of sync with the person we know we were created to be. Whether you’re rebuilding after a breakup, divorce, starting over post-illness, facing career burnout, job loss, entering your empty nest season, or simply waking up one day and realizing you’re not living the life you dreamed, and you are hearing a quiet voice inside whisper, “It’s time for something new.” Reinvention can feel like a mountain with no map. I know this because I’ve lived it. Again and again. Yet, if I can do it, so can you!

And the best part? You don’t need permission to start over. The good news is: your comeback can be your masterpiece. Reinventing yourself isn’t about being “perfect,” it’s about being authentic, aligned, and intentional. It’s about becoming the next-level version of you.
You just need a blueprint. And I’m here to share mine.
After surviving single motherhood, 30+ jobs, 56 relocations, and a shelter stay, living at a Yoga Meditation Retreat for nearly a year, I reimagined everything and rebuilt my life on nearly 3 acres of sacred Georgia land and in the process of rebuilding my healing sanctuary, Regenerating Me Crystal & Salt Lounge. I now help people worldwide reinvent from the inside out through coaching, retreats, and energy healing.
"Sometimes life doesn’t give you a restart button. You have to build it yourself, day by day, decision by decision."
12 tips to help you reinvent yourself and make your comeback
1. Cut the noise to hear your inner voice
When I relocated and began rebuilding my healing lounge, I stopped posting on social media cold turkey. That silence gave me the clarity I didn't even realize I was missing. These days, if I scroll, it’s for learning not lurking and only after I’ve handled my priorities.
Reinvention tip: Take a social fast. Set boundaries with digital devices. Let your soul speak louder than your scroll.
Set a timer and schedule specific windows to check social media
Ask yourself: “Am I absorbing or comparing?”
Try a 3-day or more social detox to tune into your own thoughts

2. Be honest about how you've been showing up
One of the hardest (and most healing) parts of my journey was reflecting on how I used to show up for myself versus how I do now. No sugarcoating. Just the truth. The good, the bad, the “why did I do that?” I mean, I really did some deep reflection. I asked myself hard questions about who I was as a woman, a healer, a mother, and an entrepreneur.
Reinvention tip: Journal without judgment. Write out the version of yourself you’re leaving behind—and the version you’re stepping into.
Journal your daily choices and the results they bring
Ask: “Am I proud of the way I show up?”
Give yourself grace, but stay accountable

3. Protect your peace like it pays you
I turn off my ringer when I’m working and only check in with immediate family during focus hours. I set alarms to protect my flow time and yes, I laugh at myself when I forget to turn the ringer back on! LOL, that discipline has become one of my strongest tools.
Reinvention Tip: You don’t need to be accessible to everyone all the time. Your energy is sacred real estate.
Block off focus hours on your calendar
Use "Do Not Disturb" like a boundary boss
Ask: “What drains my energy that I can remove today?”
Peace is a priority. Book a private energy clearing session with me and feel the shift.
4. Create rituals that anchor you
I start my day with meditation in my salt therapy or meditation lounge, speak affirmations in the mirror, and visualize my day with intention. At night, I say my gratitudes out loud. These small acts became my survival system. These sacred routines fuel my energy and focus.
Reinvention tip: Rituals create rhythm. Find one morning and night practice that aligns you with peace, clarity, and confidence.
Start with 5 minutes of breathwork or silence each morning
Say your top 3 affirmations aloud
Visualize the day before it begins
Need guidance? Experience this live during a weekend healing retreat.
5. Set realistic, non-negotiable daily goals
I stopped glamorizing 100-task to-do lists. LOL Instead, I plan realistic daily goals and honor them like meetings with my future self. I swapped perfectionism for purpose. Now I focus on small, daily wins that keep me moving forward.
Reinvention tip: Small wins stack up. Don’t underestimate the power of consistency over chaos.
Write down just 3 goals each morning
Ask: “What’s the one thing I must complete today?”
Track your progress, not your productivity
Not sure where to start? Let’s build your comeback plan in a coaching session.
6. Celebrate the progress, not just the finish line
Every night I say all the things I accomplished that day out loud, then say, “Good Job, April/ADionne, whatever alter ego wants to be congratulated first! LOL. Friday, I celebrate myself. A foot soak, a dance session, good food, a glass of wine, and a little “I’m proud of you” moment. If I don’t cheer for me, who will?
Reinvention tip: Make celebration a habit, don't wait for big milestones honor your efforts, not just the outcome.
Schedule a weekly self-reward moment
Ask: “What did I do this week that future me will thank me for?”
Keep a celebration jar to track your wins
Treat yourself to something nurturing from my healing essentials shop.
7. Pause when needed, not when defeated
Some days hit harder than others. When I need to, I take one of my spiritual detox baths, unplug, and go outside to reconnect with nature. When emotions build up, I don’t push through. I pause, take a long nap, binge-watch Netflix for a day, or watch funny cat videos. LOL. Tap into your inner child and spend the day doing something fun and silly with your bestie!
Reinvention tip: Rest isn’t weakness. It’s wisdom. Relaxation and laughter slow the aging clock down.
Take guilt-free breaks
Ground yourself barefoot outdoors for 10 minutes
Ask: “What do I need right now to reset?”
Healing isn't linear. Recharge with my Salt Lounge HaloTherapy.
8. Audit relationships with courage
During this season, I’ve reflected on every relationship, past and present. Who gave? Who just took? Who showed up? Who disappeared? Who supported? Who had motives? Who’s gossiping? Who reflected the best in me? It’s been an emotional roller coaster, yet it helped me clear emotional clutter. Some relationships needed to shift. Beware, people can be energy, blessings, and prosperity blockers.
Reinvention tip: Surround yourself with soul-fuelers, not soul-drainers. Make sure they want you to win! Not to be “Gone with The Wind!” LOL, take your phone out and start the contact deletion process.
Ask: “Who am I when I’m around this person?”
Create space from energy vampires
Pour more into mutually nourishing connections
Discuss emotional boundaries and energetic detox in a 1:1 clarity session.
9. Be selfish about your self-development
Reinvention requires sacred selfishness. I protect my time, energy, and focus like they’re currency because they are. During this season, I chose myself unapologetically. That choice rebuilds me silently! Less is always best; fewer opinions, judgement, and dream stealers and dream killers! Just like a new iPhone. They can wait to meet the new version of me. This is how you add value to yourself.
Reinvention tip: Don’t apologize for choosing yourself. You are your most important project.
Block weekly self-growth time
Protect your schedule like it protects your peace
Remind yourself: self-focus isn’t selfish it’s sacred
Fuel your growth with a listen to my Chronicles of Livin' Podcast.
10. Rebuild from the inside out
I’m currently rebuilding Regenerating Me Crystal & Salt Lounge on a private nearly 3-acre sanctuary in Georgia designed for deep healing. I built it in 4 months independently with a little help from a few family members, friends, and a lot of discipline. The structure is new, but the healing? That starts within. I rebuilt my entire business and wellness sanctuary from scratch. It started with a vision, not a bank account.
Reinvention tip: You can change your environment, but don’t forget to renovate your mindset, habits, and beliefs.
Redesign your life on paper before reality
Upgrade your mindset to match your dreams
Ask: “What legacy am I creating?”
Experience the space where transformation lives.
11. Turn reflection into reinvention
Every day, I reflect not to shame myself, but to upgrade myself. I study my patterns like a scientist. I study my progress like a coach. Each night, I reflect: What worked? What didn’t? What will I do differently?
Reinvention tip: Ask: “What did I learn today?” Then apply it tomorrow.
Use a daily reflection journal
Ask: “What triggered me and why?”
Let your insights guide your next steps

12. Remember: You’re not starting over. You’re starting wiser
I’ve been a single mom, a fashion designer, a music label owner, a shelter survivor, a podcast and TV host, a retreat leader, and now an energy healing alchemist. 30+ jobs, 56 moves, countless challenges later, and here I am. Standing. Thriving. Reinventing again. Loss.
Trauma. Comebacks. And still, I rise.
Reinvention tip: Your past didn’t break you. It built the version of you that’s ready to rise now.
Own your story, it’s your strength, you are valuable, you’re enough, you are worth it!:)
Ask: “What would the highest version of me do today?”
Reinvent daily, not just once
Your comeback is calling. Let me help you answer.
Final words
No matter your past or your pain, reinvention is always an option. It’s not about becoming someone else. It’s about becoming the real, healed, highest version of you. When you are finally ready to stop existing and start living, reinvention is yours. Not one day. Not someday. Today.
Your new chapter starts with a decision, not perfection. You don’t need to be anyone else, you just need to remember who you are.
This is your time. Your transformation. Your turn.
