Human Connection Speaker

Versandra Kennebrew is a Human Connection Speaker, wellness visionary, and founder of The Power of Common Unity Movement – a national and global initiative restoring connection as a core life skill for leaders, families, and communities. With more than two decades of experience in holistic health, emotional restoration, and relationship wellness, she designs transformational experiences that blend storytelling, touch education, yoga, and community-centered leadership.

Her work is rooted in lived experience. After overcoming homelessness and mental health challenges early in life, Versandra transformed her healing journey into a mission to help others feel seen, supported, and connected. Since 2000, she has taught the art of touch to future professionals and couples, developed innovative intimacybuilding programs, and trained relationship coaches in embodied communication practices that strengthen emotional resilience.

Versandra’s leadership extends across nonprofit, civic, and global service sectors. She has served on boards including Health & Fitness ICU Detroit, the Coalition on Temporary Shelter Detroit, and Gateway Center Atlanta’s continuum of care. Her six- year tenure in Toastmasters International district leadership – where she facilitated more than 100 live and virtual leadership trainings. Her team of trainers earned the District Program Quality Excellence Award. She has also amplified wellness and social justice conversations through broadcast media as co-host of Health & Healing Chronicles and host of Optimal Living Starts Here on BEAM TV.

A passionate advocate for service, Versandra is an AmeriCorps VISTA alumna and national service award recipient preparing for full-time deployment as a community health worker in West Africa. Her upcoming assignment focuses on maternal health, mother-infant bonding, and community wellness education – extending her mission of connection across continents.

As a Senior Executive Contributor for Brainz Magazine, Versandra uses her platform to elevate relationship wellness, intercultural leadership, and the power of CommonUnity. Her writing and speaking invite audiences to embrace connection not as a luxury, but as a transformative force that shapes families, organizations, and communities. She is a graduate of Irene’s Myomassology Institute, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and a CYT200 yoga teacher. She is currently completing her A.S. degree in General Education at Troy University.
