Simon Frese
Transformational Life & Breathwork Coach
After moving to London in the 1990s to escape a difficult upbringing, Simon landed his dream job at the BBC. But the thrill of working in TV soon gave way to a work-hard, play-hard lifestyle that became increasingly self-destructive.
Battling intense self-doubt, he turned to self-medicating as a way to cope. By his early 30s, Simon hit rock bottom and realised it was time to face the issues he’d been avoiding for years.
A close friend shared the number of a Life Coach, and that first session was memorable. It marked the beginning of a new personal journey, one that led to slowly building self-confidence, healing of fractured family relationships, discovering meditation, and a commitment to a long-term relationship.
Coaching also facilitated a transition into a more suitable career. After leaving television, Simon became an agent for photographers and later joined Select Management, one of the world’s leading talent agencies.
He realised that the most fulfilling part of the role was the nurturing and coaching element, which ultimately inspired Simon to retrain as a Life Coach.
When experiencing a family tragedy during the lockdown, he travelled to a retreat in Mexico where a chance meeting with spiritual Breathwork teacher Steffy Téllez Schnaas helped him navigate this difficult time of grief and find solace.
This time also enables him now to feel an even deeper empathy and connection with clients who are going through difficult challenges.
Impressed by the practice, he studied Breathwork at Yogabody* in Barcelona to become a certified Breathwork facilitator.
Simon has developed his own MindBody Coaching Program, which offers a holistic approach, addressing physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. He includes meditation, Somatic (Body) work, Breathwork, and other practices in his work with clients who are going through career or personal transition (grief, bereavements, break-ups) or suffering from stress, low self-worth, depression, or anxiety.
Passionate about travel, interior design, music, and cycling, Simon is also deeply committed to charitable work. His past volunteering includes time with St. Giles Trust, supporting at-risk youth in the UK, and an ongoing collaboration with the Paul Smith Foundation, which helps emerging young designers and artists.
