Chief Vision and Culture Officer

Shahrukh Khan, DBA Candidate, MBA, QArb., is an academic leader and arbitration professional specializing in workplace dispute resolution, policy governance, and legislative compliance. He combines research and practice to enhance leadership, organizational performance, and inclusive systems in higher education and industry.

As a Qualified Arbitrator (QArb.) and experienced workplace mediator, Shahrukh advises organizations on arbitration, mediation, labour relations strategy, and conflict resolution. His extensive union leadership experience, including roles as Lead Negotiator and Vice President of Grievance, highlights his deep understanding of collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, and labour-management negotiations. He is also a policy audit and development expert, ensuring regulatory compliance while strengthening governance frameworks and risk management practices.

With over eight years of post-secondary teaching and academic leadership experience, he delivers experiential education in small business strategy, capstone leadership, and not-for-profit management. He has led the development of undergraduate program specializations aligned with workforce trends, industry needs, and institutional strategy. At Algoma University, he has advanced community partnerships and strategic initiatives that enhance student opportunity and regional impact.

A strategy and leadership workshop specialist, Shahrukh designs and facilitates programs in inclusive leadership, talent management, organizational strategy, and DEI implementation. His leadership in chairing multiple DEI committees underscores his dedication to embedding equity and inclusive excellence into governance, policy, and organizational culture.

His research focuses on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Talent Management, and Labour Relations, examining how inclusive policy design, equitable talent systems, and effective dispute resolution drive sustainable organizational success.
