Sarah Dessert
Founder, French Instructor, Coach
Sarah Dessert is a native French educator, coach and founder of Sweet French Learning, where she helps English-speaking adults learn French with confidence, clarity, and ease. Originally from France and now based in Canada, she brings over 14 years of teaching experience and a deep understanding of adult language learning.
Sarah began her teaching career in France before continuing her work with adult learners in Canada. Over time, she noticed a recurring pattern: many adults were not struggling because of the language itself, but because of fear, self-doubt, and discouraging school experiences. This insight led her to develop a different approach — one that places emotional safety and confidence at the center of the learning process.
Fluent in both French and English, Sarah combines immersive instruction, personalized guidance, and confidence-building support to help learners communicate authentically from the very beginning. Her work blends linguistic expertise with a human, respectful approach that allows adults to progress without pressure or comparison.
Through Sweet French Learning, Sarah’s mission is to help adults rediscover the joy of learning and reconnect with their ability to grow — both in French and beyond.
