Mindy Yanish is a Grief and Loss Support Specialist & Intuitive Life Coach based in Westchester, New York, with five years in practice. She is certified as a Grief and Loss Educator through David Kessler's grief.com program, ordained as an all-faith minister, and spent several years training under master coaching mentor Nancy Levin across several coaching modalities.

For thirty years, Mindy owned and ran a gallery that supported hundreds of artisans, before closing its doors and beginning the reinvention that now shapes her coaching work. She also founded the Creative Alliance Project, a non-profit arts organization that used storytelling and performance to illuminate difficult, often overlooked human experiences — including a ballet she produced on prison reform, a filmed panel of interviews with previously incarcerated people, and a project that revitalized her town of Katonah, New York by filling empty storefronts with art, including quilts made by incarcerated women at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility.

Mindy's approach centers on a simple belief: that loss, aging, and life's hardest, inevitable transitions aren't obstacles to a meaningful life, but doorways into one — if approached with honesty rather than bypassing or avoidance. She supports clients through grief, retirement, and major life changes using a compassionate, practical, love-centered approach.

She is the author of the forthcoming teaching memoir Turning Feathers to Wings, which draws on her own experience of closing her business after thirty years and rebuilding a sense of identity and purpose in retirement, to offer readers a guided path through longing, willingness, acceptance, faith, awareness, release, and rest.
