Manuel Wotsch
Founder of AURA Silent Disco
Manuel Wotsch is the founder of AURA, a Barcelona silent disco and wireless headset company he launched in 2021. AURA began with a simple problem: how to bring music, movement, and connection to a space without breaking noise limits or disturbing neighbours. The answer was wireless headphones, where every guest tunes into one of up to three live channels and an event can run at full energy in complete outward silence.
Since then Manuel has built AURA into one of the most active silent disco and experience companies in Europe. The company has produced more than 1,200 events, reached over 250,000 attendees, served 800 venues, and worked across 14 countries. Its headsets, with an 8 hour battery and 500 metre range, now power sunrise wellness sessions, silent yoga, corporate offsites, festivals, conferences, and brand activations.
Manuel believes the future of events is experiential rather than transactional. He has led AURA through a deliberate shift from equipment provider to experience producer, designing formats that use sound to shape how a room feels rather than simply supplying kit. He is especially interested in inclusive events, quieter cities, and how personal audio channels give people real choice over their own experience.
Based in Barcelona with reach across Spain and Europe, Manuel writes about experiential events, wellness formats without speakers, and the design thinking behind gatherings people remember.
