Karen Day – A Journey of Discovery and Healing
From a young age Karen Day felt a calling to help others. Growing up in Saskatchewan, she was surrounded by a community that valued care and compassion, traits that would later define her career in healthcare. Her journey into nursing began in 1993, driven by a desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Litte did she know, this path would lead her to explore the depths of human biology and the intricacies of chronic pain.
Karen’s early years in nursing were spent in various healthcare settings, including the bustling emergency room of the Pasqua hospital in Regina. It was here; in 2007 her professional and personal worlds collided. Her father, a pillar of strength in her life, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This heart-wrenching experience ignited a relentless pursuit of understanding the true cause of disease and the body’s response to illness.
In 1996, as nurses, we were introduced to the ambitious goal set forth by the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1978. This declaration, endorsed by health ministers from 134 countries in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, aimed to establish primary healthcare as a key strategy. The goal was to achieve a level of health that would allow everyone to lead socially and economically productive lives by the year 2000. When this fell short, this unfulfilled pledge sparked Karen’s curiosity and determination to seek answers beyond conventional medicine. Her quest led her to the ground-breaking work of Dr. med. Ryke Geerd Hamer and German New Medicine (GNM). This biological-based science offered a revolutionary perspective on the relationship between emotions, biological responses, and disease.
Karen’s dedication to GNM was not just professional but deeply personal. She, too, battled chronic pain, an experience that fueled her empathy and understanding for those she aimed to help. Through GNM, Karen learned that symptoms were not merely ailments to be treated but stories to be understood. This realization transformed her approach to health and wellness, emphasizing the importance of uncovering the root causes of pain.
As a health coach and educator, Karen’s mission is to empower individuals and health professionals with the knowledge and tools to decode the body’s messages. Her work focuses on chronic pain, a condition that affects millions yet is often misunderstood. By teaching others to listen to their bodies and recognize the signs and symptoms, Karen provides and pathway to healing that is both holistic and transformative.
Karen’s commitment to her craft in unwavering. She has spent countless hours studying, teaching, and advocating for a new perspective on health. Her approach is genuine and real, reflecting her personal journey and the challenges she has overcome. Through workshops, seminars, and one-on-one coaching, Karen shares her insights and experiences, inspiring other to embark on their own journeys of discovery and healing.
Her story is one of resilience, curiosity, and compassion. It is a testament to the power of knowledge and the importance of understanding the body’s innate wisdom. Karen Day is not just a registered nurse or a health coach; she is a beacon of hope for those seeking answers and a guide for those ready to explore the root causes of their pain.
