Julia Elstrodt
Psychotherapist
Julia Elstrodt is an Ivy League-educated psychotherapist of Brazilian and German heritage. Knowing her vocation from the age of eleven, she embarked on a lifelong journey of studying the human psyche. Fascinated by the work of C. G. Jung from a young age, she explored this passion in depth at Brown University, where she graduated with honours in Psychology and Religious Studies. Julia completed her MA in Psychoanalysis at the International University of Berlin before moving to London to begin her clinical practice.
Lived experience of profound trauma further deepened Julia’s desire to heal, to find wholeness, and to support others along the same path. She understands healing as a process of reconnecting with joy, self-confidence, community, and creativity–rooted in connection and belonging. To support this work, Julia sees private clients and collaborates with charities that serve survivors of a myriad of violences within vulnerable communities.
Though her work engages with heavy and painful material, it is also marked by warmth, laughter, and humour. At the heart of her work is a belief that healing is not only about surviving pain, but about restoring meaning, vitality, and connection to life.
