Eliana Bonaguro

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Eliana Bonaguro, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor specializing in OCD, anxiety disorders, panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy. Her work focuses on helping individuals better understand intrusive thoughts, fear, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, and the cycles that often maintain anxiety and OCD.

What makes Eliana’s work distinctive is her integration of evidence-based psychology with visual storytelling and illustrated psychoeducation. Through both therapy and art, she aims to transform complex mental health concepts into experiences that feel more approachable, emotionally resonant, and easier to understand.

Eliana is the author and illustrator of several visual mental health guides, including Quieting the Noise: A Visual Guide to Living with OCD, Yesterday It Rained: An Illustrated Guide to Living with Anxiety, and When OCD Attacks Love: A Visual Guide to Understanding Relationship OCD. Her work blends CBT, ERP, ACT, psychoeducation, and creativity to help readers feel more understood while offering practical tools for growth and healing.

Her insights and contributions have been featured in Forbes, Healthline, Newsweek, VoyageMIA, Bold Journey, and RTOR.
