Art Psychotherapist and Creativity Facilitator
Denise Scicluna is a London-based art psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and creative practitioner with over ten years of experience supporting emotional wellbeing across the NHS, schools, charities, and community services. She works privatley with adults, young people, and children, offering both talking therapy and creative therapy to help clients navigate trauma, anxiety, attachment difficulties, low self-esteem, and significant life transitions.
Grounded in psychodynamic, Jungian, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based approaches, Denise offers a warm, reflective therapeutic space that encourages self-awareness, emotional healing, and compassionate exploration. Her integrative style blends depth-oriented work with the transformative possibilities of creativity, helping clients connect with their inner world through imagery, intuition, and symbolic expression.
Alongside her clinical practice, Denise leads online and in-person creative workshops and online groups, including The Transitional Space and the Intuitive & Expressive Painting Course. A self-taught artist with a painting practice spanning over 15 years, she is passionate about the role of art-making in personal growth and emotional resilience.
Denise is also the author of three arts and crafts books—Rock Art (2015), Pebble Pets (2018), and All New 20 To Make: Rock Art (2024).
Her work continues to bring together creativity, psychology, and accessible therapeutic practice. She is registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). She is currently reading a Diploma in Transpersonal Psychology.
