David Trotter and Mandy Adams, co-founders of Start My Next Chapter Coaching, are passionate about helping people who have gone through a significant life change (such as divorce, job transition, or the loss of a loved one) heal their mind and heart so they can start their next chapter feeling empowered and confident. As Certified Trauma-Informed Breathwork and Guided Meditation Facilitators, they specialize in using somatic exercises and transformational coaching to help individuals regulate their nervous system, rewrite the stories in their minds and bodies, rediscover their true identity, and develop a clear plan for the next chapter of their lives.

Mandy is the owner of Behind the Lids, southern California’s leading breathwork and meditation studio located in Costa Mesa, CA. After a 22 year career in television and radio advertising, Mandy’s advertising agency came to a screeching halt overnight due to Covid, and she was faced with the reality of a significant life change. Weather the storm of traditional advertising or start a new chapter? Having embarked on a spiritual journey several years prior and become a regular at Behind the Lids, Mandy was presented with the opportunity to acquire the studio in 2021, and she’s never looked back! She is a Certified Breathwork and Guided Meditation Facilitator as well as a Sound Healer, and she leads group classes and private sessions on a regular basis.

David is a Life Transformation Coach with 25 years of experience helping people in the areas of healing, spirituality, and leadership. At the age of 18, David sensed a call into ministry and completed his undergraduate and seminary work in preparation to become a pastor. After 10 years of starting and growing churches in southern California, he was burned out from trying to fill an internal hole of not-enoughness, which resulted in burnout, implosion, healing, and a new chapter of life. For the past 16 years, David has broadened his spirituality while continuing to invest in the life transformation of others. He is the author of a dozen books including “Empowered to Rise” and “Superconscious Conversations”, producer/director of four feature films on important social issues, and a Certified Breathwork and Guided Meditation Facilitator.
