Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Carie Winchell is a spiritually informed Licensed Mental Health Therapist with 30 years of experience, having facilitated thousands of sessions with individuals and couples of all ages and walks of life. She graduated from Seattle University in 2000 with a Master's in Humanistic Existential Psychology. Her undergraduate degree is also in Psychology, with a Minor in Human and Family Development, from the University of Montana, where she graduated with Dean's List distinction. After graduate school, she continued her education at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, where she studied Intuitive Development Through Shamanism for three years and underwent various initiations that deepened her awareness of life's interconnectedness. She continued mentoring with several Shamanic Practitioners while also pursuing her training as a Somatic Therapist and, most recently, as a Brainspotting Practitioner. Carie is a lifelong student and continues to expand her expertise, particularly in neuroscience, attachment theory, consciousness, and intuitive development.

As an explorer, visionary, healer, and guide, Carie is passionate about assisting other daring, courageous beings as they journey to discover their greatness. Her work bridges the left analytical brain with the right intuitive brain, as well as the emotional, physical, spiritual, and energetic realms/bodies. To support epigenetic healing, along with Somatic Experiencing and Brainspotting, she incorporates the ancient spiritual tradition of Shamanism, Gene Keys and Human Design, the I-Ching, Tarot, Numerology, and North Node Astrology, as well as Gestalt/Jungian methods. Carie uses Gene Keys and Human Design Profiles as an oracle or window into the unconscious, illuminating one's woundings and genetic imprinting back to conception. As the journey unfolds, she supports the purifying and healing of this trauma stored in the body while exploring with clients their attachment style and becoming securely attached.

Carie’s approach is grounded and holistic, meeting modern-day needs, as she brings her dynamic attention and presence, along with her seeing gifts, to sessions and workshops. Sensitive to the vulnerability and sacredness of the healing journey, she gently supports a shift from survival pressure to creative pressure, illuminating her client’s natural strengths and powerful healing capacity. From this place, vitality increases, health can improve, and clients experience a deeper, more embodied sense of empowerment, creating an entirely new way of living.

Carie offers uniquely dynamic and creative Workshops on Human Design and Gene Keys that support deep healing and transformation, while also having fun and expanding one’s consciousness.
