- Angela Kearney, Holistic Therapist for People and Pets, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
In 2008, Angela Kearney decided to change her life, stepping away from a demanding 20-year career in corporate media. On a whim, she started managing a Cuban salsa band and soon after, joined Airbnb during their early expansion into London. Angela hosted a steady stream of guests, allowing her the freedom to travel regularly between London, Havana, and Moscow. During this period of personal growth and self-discovery, tragedy struck. In 2012, Angela’s mother passed away suddenly, leaving her overwhelmed with grief. The new chapter she had begun felt as though it had come to an abrupt end. Conventional medications and therapies proved ineffective, so Angela began seeking safe, natural ways to restore her mental and emotional peace. Already familiar with Bach Flower Remedies, she was also drawn to Reiki. But it wasn’t until two Bengal kittens came into her life that everything changed. At 18 months old, the male cat was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. Veterinary advice was entirely prescription-based, but alongside her own challenges, Angela sought a safe, gentle, and holistic solution for her cat. And so, her healing journey began... Angela is a Registered Animal Healer, Reiki Master Practitioner, Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner, and Pet Bereavement Counsellor. She has completed extensive training and CPD in areas including animal nutrition and raw feeding, animal behaviour, natural plant remedies for animals, and most recently, a Foundation course in Herbal Medicine. With a special interest in cats, Angela is currently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal (Feline) Behaviour. Angela also runs a local healing clinic for human clients and is the owner of Tiger and Wolf, a pet-sitting agency based in London, UK. - Sally Stevenson, Healing Practitioner, Teacher & Founder, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
There are times in life that are defining. A realization that every road travelled, every path taken has led to this very moment. This has become a reality of mine of late. It is an honour to become an executive contributor for Brainz magazine, and to be a part of such a wonderful community. As I look back over my life, my journey from high school to a career in Dentistry, and now a path of Holistic Healing, I feel amazed where life can lead you. It is a culmination of my years of experience, of working with people from all walks of life, and having a medical background has strengthened my healing abilities. I initially started training to become a qualified Dental Nurse in 1998 but quickly realized that a Dental Hygiene role was better suited for me. After further study in Dental Radiography and Human Biology, I was accepted at Newcastle University, in the United Kingdom and qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 2007. I always knew that I wanted to work with people. I wanted to help others in a medical environment, and I loved every second of studying human anatomy and physiology. It fascinated me and I am still in awe at how our amazing bodies work. After becoming a mother in 2014, and what can only be described as a transformative spiritual experience, my curiosity heightened to learn and understand the spiritual aspects of ourselves. I was becoming very aware that we are so much more than a physical being, the love for understanding the human body, extended to a new love of understanding energy, the unseen, and what we hold and carry around with us every single day. I became a healing practitioner in 2016 and a teacher in 2018. In 2019 my healing skills developed on their own and I have now created new healing techniques that others can learn and enhance their skills. With many levels of healing, and stages of the practitioner’s development Angelic Heart Academy of Holistic Healing was born. You do not need a medical background to learn at the academy, however as you progress an understanding of human anatomy and physiology is very helpful. With six levels of expertise, learning more complex techniques as you go, a healing practitioner is a great way to building a professional business of your own, bringing with it a sense of pride and achievement. The techniques are all aimed at balancing our auric (energy) field and releasing and removing dense energies that we all need to let go of as part of our collective healing and evolution. Our experiences shape us and it often changes life’s trajectory unexpectedly, as I personally found after a painful period of grief in 2022. I found myself at a crisis point of self-identity, grief and complete unknown territory, from losing both of my beloved parents within a 3-month period. It was the hardest time and experience that has changed me forever. I was very blessed to have a wonderful sister by my side, that endured the same pain as me and a bond of grief was forged, that only siblings understand. The strength of a loving husband and children that bring joy and love to me every day, saw me through the darkness and back to the light. The knowledge that I have gained from my experience has become a part of my drive and determination, to help people heal and to support families that have gone through or are going through something similar. You are not alone. There is so much that is happening in our ever-changing world, and we need healing modalities now more than ever and I feel there is no coincidence that my journey and experiences in life, have led me here. After a lot of dedication, I received recognition for my healing work and was named Holistic Business Innovator of the year 2025 and Most Innovative Holistic Healing Academy 2025 by SME news. If you feel connected to working with me or any of this resonates with you and you would like to reach out for more information on healing sessions and the courses mentioned, please feel free to contact sally@angelicheart.co.uk. - Virginie Simon, Founder of Simon&Co | PR Ninja | Mental Health Advocate , Senior Level Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
Virginie Simon is the founder of Simon&Co, a Lausanne-based agency known for its deeply human and highly strategic approach to public relations. With a background in art, psychology, political science, and marketing, Virginie brings a rare, multidimensional lens to the world of communication — one that balances emotion with insight, and purpose with performance, rooted in both creativity and critical thinking. She began her career in leading international PR firms, including Burson-Marsteller, and later took on the role of senior consultant and head of the Geneva office for a Swiss agency. In 2015, feeling disconnected from the agency world's profit-driven culture, Virginie organically founded Simon&Co. Her decision came from a desire to do things differently — to prioritize authenticity over optics, and to build long-term brand trust rather than short-term noise. Her expertise in strategic communication, crisis management, and brand positioning she works across sectors and cultures — helping organizations find their voice, navigate complexity, and build meaningful connections with the people who matter most. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Simon&Co became a critical partner for many companies facing reputational risk and internal turmoil. This turning point led her to train as a certified mental health instructor, integrating well-being and psychological safety into her corporate communication strategies. Today, she advocates for a deeper, more responsible form of PR — one that doesn’t just serve the brand, but serves the people behind it. At Simon&Co, communication is rooted in meaning, not just messaging. - Tracy Ann Messore, Integrative Coach, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
Tracy Messore's story begins not with credentials, but in the wreckage of a life that looked functional while crumbling within. As a registered nurse, she cared for others while her own identity eroded under coercive control and psychological abuse that mirrored the dysfunction of her childhood. The turning point came while caring for her dying parents. Her mother's deathbed revelations exposed generational patterns–decades of control and emotional abuse stretching back through generations of women systematically broken down and conditioned to accept cruelty as connection. Tracy made a life-changing decision: she would break the cycle. Leaving the abusive situation was just the beginning. Flashbacks, panic attacks, and chronic pain emerged as her nervous system, trained for decades in survival mode, struggled to recalibrate. Tracy discovered that trauma colonizes every dimension–mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. Drawing on her nursing background, she studied trauma research, somatic healing, and polyvagal theory. She became certified as a Reiki Master Teacher and Certified Trauma Coach, experimenting with nervous system regulation techniques on herself: breathwork, movement, somatic release exercises, and nutrition as medicine. Tracy founded Integrative Coaching to transform her pain into purpose. Her comprehensive courses guide trauma survivors through nervous system regulation and authentic self-recovery, refusing quick fixes in favor of practical, evidence-based techniques for the messy, nonlinear work of healing complex trauma. Her mission: help survivors break free from survival mode and rediscover their authentic selves while breaking generational cycles. She's particularly passionate about helping parents heal while raising children, ensuring they don't pass unprocessed trauma to the next generation. Today, Tracy lives proof that healing is possible–in a healthy marriage, parenting four children consciously, and building a business that serves others. Her message: You are not your trauma. Your authentic self is waiting to be rediscovered. Healing is possible. You don't have to do it alone.
