Hotcha! Whoopee! (There’s a little Chicago The Musical to get the party started!) A few tantalising sounds as we ask our personal inner realms, what lights us up????

Photo of beautiful woman.

First of all, It’s personal

To move forwards we must actively choose to go deeper than ever before. We can be surprised and delighted by the multifaceted nature of our soul, and its expression can materialise in limitless ways. To think of yourself as an artist can be a stretch for some personalities, but a knowing that inside of you is expression, a creative world that is unique to you from the life and experiences you have lived is a rich endeavour to choose. You can hear expression in every bird with its song, witness this joy in a child with its hands and face covered in paint, you can remember the feeling by hearing a mother humming whilst pinning up the laundry, in those moments where you allow yourself to witness others freedom you remember its available to you every moment, by choice!

What is stirring up in you right now????

Ways to channel your inner artistry

Every day we face new challenges, questions, deepenings and so often the rational mind wants to take these questions and shake us silly until the answer comes out with loud bells like a huge EURIKA moment. One that will save our business, bank account, marriage or the feeling of drowning… we presume the answer must be earth shaking to create that change because the ego makes our problems feel soooooo dramatic. When all we need is to hear the whisper our soul, an answer often so subtle that it feels like the lightness of a feather, a babies touch, the smell of spring, the feeling of a paintbrush gracefully gliding along the page or a gentle hug that radiates warmth. These feelings and happenings light up our soul because they bring us to presence! When we access this high frequency of truth usually the answers arrive, yet not through hard work instead, by literally ”lightening up” and going higher than the problem! Five minutes of singing your favourite song, dancing in the kitchen or doodling can do wonders for your heart; so what does your inner artist want to tell you? What are you feeling called to?

Speak to me and I will answer

A helpful tip that has supported me in creating all sorts of wonders over the years!

Every day for 5 minutes, check in with your inner artist, you can also call this your creative soul/spirit, your Picasso, your Monet, or your inner child who is just exhilarated to get out those crayons. Maybe give your creativity a name, be free with this aspect too… you can’t get it wrong!

Now … the fun part. Sit and ask quietly;

  • How do I wish to express myself today?

  • What feels good to my heart?

  • What feels soothing to my mind?

  • What is lighting up my soul right now?

  • Is there anything I can give up and surrender to the universe through my expression?

  • Am I willing to take the time to find out? If yes … what are you waiting for … Go!

I’ve connected what next?

Keep on riding the bike as often as you can until this becomes a natural part of your day, you may not need to set time aside anymore; once you see the effects it can become apart of your daily inner world where you can enquire lightly whilst brushing your teeth or driving. Keep it Simple! These daily moments of artistry can bring so much joy to your day and realisation that you are the artist of your life (not the mind!) Practices like these supported me in my latest work as a Burlesque artist, it took time from idea to stage, from “hell no!” to “ ok, I feel I can shop nipple tassles today.” Whether you are wanting to create a painting or simply make more time for you in your life, I wish you every happiness in soothing your soul with your natural artistry that is unique to you and a blessing that can always be found beneath the happenings of the day. Take of the pressure and enjoy the process!!!
