Human history has shown us what greed can do. We know what violence can do. We know what unchecked lust, fear, pride, domination, and tribal loyalty can do. We do not need another century of violence, greed, fear, pride, corruption, division, and blind loyalty to travel with us into the future.

We can communicate worldwide in seconds. Artificial intelligence can turn a thought into music, writing, designs, and working concepts. We carry more knowledge in one hand than entire civilizations once possessed.
Our technology keeps advancing. Too much of our human behavior does not.
I keep asking one question, "What comes next?" Not what device, political slogan, or convenience, but what comes next for us as human beings.
That is the problem the ELE-VOLUTION, Elevate and Evolve, is meant to confront. We must grow inward so we can build better outward. Without integrity, judgment, compassion, emotional control, and respect for life, even the best system will reflect the failures of its operators.
Have we educated ourselves downward?
Education has given us knowledge and capability, but not automatically better character.
That is why I sometimes say we have educated ourselves downward. Learning is not harmful, but we have become better at building things without giving equal attention to the people we are becoming while building them.
We should still ask: Why am I not more compassionate? What do I do with power? What do I tolerate from my side? Do I correct a lie that benefits me? Do I use what I know only to advance myself or to improve life for someone else?
Reduce the noise and look within
News, social media, political battles, advertising, outrage, and endless opinions tell us what to fear, buy, blame, hate, and believe. We know what politicians and celebrities said, but many of us cannot sit quietly long enough to ask: Who am I becoming? What am I contributing? What example am I leaving my children? What part of the problem lives in me?
Noise without action is nothing.
Outrage without action is noise. Complaining without building is noise. The question is not how loudly we describe what is wrong, but whether we will help make it right.
The ELE-VOLUTION standards come first
We receive extensive instruction on how to function within a culture, religion, nation, profession, or political identity. We receive far less instruction on how to live responsibly with human beings who do not share those identities.
Across the world, ordinary acts can carry different meanings. In one culture, a handshake communicates respect. In another setting, avoiding physical contact may show respect. Customs involving eye contact, clothing, food, gender, family, authority, worship, and personal space can vary widely.
We need a common human wavelength beneath those differences.
I created the 20 ELE-VOLUTION standards as the human foundation beneath every plan I develop: integrity, critical thinking, responsibility, cultural understanding, humility, emotional control, lifelong learning, accountability, protection of the innocent, and solutions over slogans.
The standards do not replace religion or compete with faith. Church is for you. These standards are for our shared humanity.
Faith can guide your relationship with God and your spiritual journey. The standards govern where all of us meet: how we treat another human being. We need not agree on theology before agreeing to protect children, reject corruption, act honestly, and respect innocent life.
The ELE-VOLUTION standards Matrix defines each Standard, provides a mantra, asks “Look Within” questions, and shows the value in action.
I recommend two quiet minutes each day: put down the phone, reduce the noise, read the standards, repeat the mantras, and examine your conduct. Repetition keeps these ideas present when fear, anger, and pressure take control.
Values that never influence behavior are only words. Integrity must appear in a decision. Critical thinking must change what we accept and repeat. Compassion must change who we help. Accountability must change what we admit and correct.
If the standards never become action, they become more noise.
When the lights go out
The extended 2026 outage in Northwest Indiana pushed this philosophy into a practical test. My military mind did not stop at, “When will power return?” It ran the situation forward: What if it remains off for weeks or months?
Electricity touches almost everything. Food spoils. Water and sanitation come under pressure. Fuel pumps, elevators, electronic payments, traffic signals, communications, medical equipment, and refrigerated medications may fail. Children become frightened; older people and individuals with disabilities may become trapped. Essential services face increasing strain.
A prepared community should know what happens when the lights go off. Yet many people cannot grow food, purify water, preserve supplies, navigate without electronics, communicate without a cellphone, treat basic injuries, or organize a neighborhood.
We have mistaken access to tools for personal capability.
That concern led me to propose National Blackout Zones: lawful, accessible community locations identified, organized, equipped, trained, and connected before a prolonged outage, not after panic begins.
I said that if the idea received 200 shares, I would host a national planning session. It passed 200 in six days and continued beyond 600. That was more than a social media number. People recognize the risk and want a plan.

National coordination and mutual support
A generator cannot hold a community together. Supplies cannot replace trust. Radios cannot create integrity. Human standards must support the operational plan.
If we do not learn how to take better care of ourselves and one another, nobody else is guaranteed to do it for us.
This is not about socialism, capitalism, religion, race, or party politics. It is about humankind preparing and cooperating at a higher level. If it must have a label, call it:
The ELE-VOLUTION, elevate and evolve beyond what we have done before.
What comes next?
We do! We reduce the noise, look within, prepare our families, strengthen our communities, question leaders and ourselves, and turn values into action.
The goal is not to reject technology, government, institutions, or business. It is to build enough knowledge, character, preparation, and community capability that survival does not depend entirely on systems we cannot control.
Technology is not the moral actor. People are.
The ELE-VOLUTION connects human standards to practical systems: resilient communities, secure water and food, responsible technology, critical thinking education, civic responsibility, and leadership that plans beyond the next election, headline, or quarterly profit report.
Infrastructure without better behavior can be captured by greed. Good intentions without workable systems leave people trapped. We need both.
