Feelings and emotions, the currency of our psychological landscape, exert a powerful influence over our physical selves. Consider the palpable sensations that accompany emotions such as fear, anger, or joy – the quickened pulse, the shallow breaths, the tension in our muscles. These bodily manifestations are not mere byproducts of our emotional experiences but integral components of the mind-body connection.


At the forefront of this symbiotic relationship is the concept of psychosomatic phenomena, wherein psychological factors manifest as physical symptoms or illnesses. Chronic stress, for instance, can manifest in a myriad of physical ailments, ranging from headaches and digestive issues to cardiovascular problems and immune dysfunction.
