Meeting Luis is an experience filled with warmth, humor, servitude, and inspiration. His charismatic personality makes him an exceptional professional and a beacon of encouragement. Those who know him best describe him as someone who puts the needs of others first, always ready to lend a helping hand in times of struggle. His journey from his native Colombia to pursue the American dream is a testament to his resilience, hard work, and unwavering belief in doing what is right, even when no one is watching.

His early years in the United States were marked by life-changing challenges that required him to mature faster than most young people. Growing up in difficult circumstances, he quickly learned the value of perseverance and responsibility. His mother, a pillar of strength, sacrificed everything to ensure her children had a better future. She instilled in Luis the deep-rooted values of determination and selflessness that define him today.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

The defining moment in my life was migrating to the United States as a child to pursue the American dream alongside my mother and sister. This transition was anything but easy. I faced significant challenges, from navigating a broken immigration system to sacrificing a typical teenage life to help support my family. I balanced multiple jobs while attending middle and high school, which was a necessity rather than a choice. This instilled in me an unwavering work ethic that shaped my future. At 18, I underwent brain surgery, an event that delayed my college education and added another layer of hardship to my journey.

Financial struggles were constant, but I refused to let them define me. Thanks to a guardian angel in my life, I pursued my college education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and high honors. Everything I learned in school, combined with hands-on experience in accounting, inspired me to open my own firm. My business is built on the same principles that carried me through life’s toughest challenges.

Is there a core value that you are most passionate about?

There are three values I hold closest to my heart: integrity, kindness, and empathy. I firmly believe that how you treat people matters, whether in business or in everyday life. These values are not just principles. They form the foundation of every decision I make, both professionally and personally.

In a world often filled with uncertainty, negativity, and greed, I strive to be a force of positivity and compassion. How we treat others has a lasting impact, and I want my actions to inspire those around me to lead with kindness and understanding. My commitment to these values ensures that every client I work with is treated with the respect and honesty they deserve.

What inspired you to create LGB Strategic Solutions?

My passion for helping people and my love for accounting fueled my decision to establish LGB Strategic Solutions. Accounting, to me, is like solving a complex puzzle. It provides the roadmap for business success, and I find immense satisfaction in bringing financial clarity to business owners. But beyond my love for numbers, my deeper motivation stemmed from personal experiences.

Throughout my career, I encountered toxic work environments that stifled my growth, creativity, and happiness. I wanted to build something different that not only helped businesses thrive but also fostered a positive and empowering atmosphere. On a personal level, I also wanted the flexibility to care for my mother, who has been facing serious health challenges. She is one of my biggest inspirations, and I want to create a business that allows me to provide her with the best possible quality of life.

What is your ultimate goal for your clients?

My primary goal is to help my clients achieve financial freedom so they can grow their businesses without sacrificing their personal lives. Too often, business owners get caught up in the daily grind, missing out on key moments with their families. I want to alleviate that burden, ensuring that financial management is not a source of stress but a tool for success.

Beyond financial freedom, I aim to provide my clients with peace of mind through exceptional financial clarity and innovative insights. Watching my clients achieve the seemingly impossible brings me immense joy. It is a reward far greater than money. When they succeed, I succeed, and that shared triumph drives me every single day.

My journey is a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of unwavering values. But this is just the beginning. As I continue to empower business owners with financial clarity and strategic solutions, I invite you to be part of this journey. Whether you are looking for insights on growing your business, overcoming challenges, or simply seeking inspiration, my articles in this magazine offer valuable lessons and motivation.
