The Empire of Love initiative supports executives, boards and organizations in embracing the idea that Love ultimately governs any evolutionary process. We are three professionals from various horizons who are committed to catalyzing leaders´ and relationship-systems development, expanding consciousness and capacities.
Beyond doubt, humanity is experiencing times of significant change. This applies equally to the most extensive systems we are a part of, to the smallest, to us personally, and to the communities we evolve with-in (we use the hyphen because it encompasses both the “with” and the “being in”).
The poly-crises of world structures as we know them are calling us to envision and co-create a new order that embraces life-affirming values, logic, and practices. We can transform the polycrisis into a poly-opportunity for our world through conscious action. And it starts with each of us.
In what ways are you currently experiencing significant change as a leader?
Are your relationships with others and with the world revealing new edges to explore?
Do you hear the calling to unfold more of your potential and take your contributions to the next level?
With the Empire of Love initiative, we assist leaders and organizations committed to navigating inevitable change regeneratively. Our methods are rooted in robust research, sound theory, the legacy of millenary wisdom traditions, and decades of co-creative, transformative practice with-in relationship systems intelligence.
We chose the torus as the Empire of Love’s logo to represent our way of working. The geometric form and the optical illusion of movement remind us to contemplate our alignment with the natural dynamics of evolution. This multidimensional geometric figure represents the toroidal fields that compose the energetic structure of all in existence. A toroidal field is generated electromagnetically by two spheres with centrifugal and centripetal forces, constantly moving outwards and inwards, renewing energy in a spiraling pattern. This dynamic process yields only beginnings, no natural endings, and our logo represents precisely that–the ever-renewing movement of our expanding consciousness as we heal and evolve.
The torus symbolizes how life, leadership, and systems thrive when constantly spiraling forward, balancing the implosive and explosive energy dynamics regeneratively.
This movement invites us to ponder whether we feel stuck or are evolving, spiraling inward or outward, ascending or descending, contracting and withdrawing, or expanding and creating in any given phase of life and work.
Contemplating the movement you are experiencing in any current phase, individually and collectively, can give you a sense of what energies are at play in your system, in other words, what is going towards an evolutionary direction and what is being disintegrated to become fresh compost.
What phase is your organization going through?
What is the trajectory of the relationship systems that enliven it?
In Empire of Love, we use the torus as a transformative metaphor to help leaders, boards, and organizations discern the dynamics that govern their systems, envision what is possible, and imprint a (new) direction that is in sync with the universal laws of life.
In some cases, the torus becomes a lens through which we can better see our organization´s multiple relationship systems dynamics. The invitation is to contemplate what our organization is renewing and discarding (regarding resources, projects, clients, commitments, and innovations).
Where are the imbalances? The synergies? The possibilities for regeneration?
In some cases, simply acknowledging that life constantly flows through us and our systems, and with that, streams of trauma as well as resources—only waiting for our care—may change the course of a whole organization.
The following case stories illustrate some practical applications of the torus symbology.
In support of an organization
A well-established architecture firm is navigating a generational change. Founders are retiring, albeit unwilling to let go of influence and power. A younger, competent group of partners has grown from subordinate to leadership roles and must become “themselves.” What is valuable from the original partners? What needs to be composted to move forward? How do you let go of any residual ghosts in the system? How does the new leadership group dream up the future they want for the firm? How can they design their new partnership alliance to manifest a robust group of partners and employees that can weather any storm and bring the firm forward successfully?
This is an example of process work we assist, allowing all voices of the system in the organization to let go of what no longer serves the firm, weave in new voices that do, and create a relationship system based on the highest possible dream for the whole, with skill sets needed to navigate their new future.
In support of individuals
We can use the torus to gain a more distant perspective when our personal lives change or we experience crises. After divorce, people quickly find themselves deeply connected only to the feeling of loss. Using the torus perspective, looking at our life as a constant flow and movement, it becomes evident that the loss we feel around divorce, on the other hand, is about letting go of what wasn’t working in our life and making space, time, and energy for new relationships, pulling in what would work for us. At the same time, we can distill the experience from past relationships to gain deep insights and wisdom about ourselves and how we connect best with others.
The symbolic power of the torus can inform practical co-creations that allow us to restore personal and relational vitality by expanding consciousness, capacities, and impact both at an individual and systemic level.
If you feel playful, gaze at this evocative geometric form momentarily. What does the torus tell you about you and your relationship systems now?
