Roxanne Robinson, Financial Broker
Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.
My name is Dr Roxanne Brown. I am a stage 2 breast cancer survivor and a spiritual director. I am passionate about seeing individuals become financially free through true Financial literacy, coaching, and spiritual direction. I am the mother of two young men, and I'm passionate about equipping individuals on how to lead from within and build a legacy for their families. I enjoy swimming, dancing, laughter,r comedy, and family is at the top of my list when it comes to my core values.
What inspired you to create Merritt Brown Financial Group and focus on holistic wellness?
I became inspired about holistic wellness after suffering two back-to-back strokes and being a survivor of stage 2 breast cancer. I wanted to understand the different facets of how we heal from trauma that we are affected by in our bodies.
How do you describe your approach to helping clients achieve emotional and physical healing?
I help individuals become trauma-free, emotionally and physically healed through a strategy of inner healing second to none, based on my own analysis of what I had to do to overcome my traumatic experiences.
Can you share a core principle or philosophy that guides your work?
One of my core principles and philosophies that guides my work is based on Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ's strength. I recognize that I couldn't do anything by myself, and I needed a team of people surrounding me that could help me get to the finish line.
What common challenges do your clients face, and how do you help them overcome them?
Most of my clients suffer from impostor syndrome, or they do not want to come away from pride that keeps them hindered and in a place of self-sabotage.
How does Merritt Brown Financial Group differ from traditional coaching or therapy programs?
Merritt Brown Financial Group comes with a blueprint for success to guide individuals through the process of what Financial Freedom actually looks like. We utilize tools that have worked over and over again to bring you to a level of success that you desire for your life.
What advice would you give someone who feels stuck and is looking for a breakthrough?
The advice that I would give someone who is stuck and cannot move forward is to let go. You can't hold on to things that have happened to you in your past; you have to move on from it and stay in your lane.
Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far.
My greatest career achievement was when I was the national black Mastermind director for the state of Georgia and the City of Atlanta, which allowed me to interact with government officials, business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?
If I could change one thing about my industry, it would be to have more marketing strategies to increase the awareness of what I do.
Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.
The pivotal moment they encountered in my life, and which initially provided me an opportunity to speak to others about Financial Freedom, is when I was at my worst moment holistically. When I had my stroke, I recognized that I couldn't end where I was; there was much more that I needed to do in my community as well as internationally.
