Nirav Pandya has built a reputation as a leader who can take organizations from struggling or stagnant to high-performing and growth-driven. His journey spans startups, publicly traded firms, and now his own consultancy. The common thread is transformation.

“I’ve always been drawn to companies at an inflection point,” Pandya says. “That’s where the real impact happens, when the right strategy and execution can completely change the trajectory.”

From scaling a small defence contractor into a $50 million industry leader to advising manufacturing and technology firms on efficiency and growth, Pandya’s track record shows how vision and hands-on leadership can deliver results.

How Orion Technologies became a national leader

Pandya’s most visible success came during his time as President and CEO of Orion Technologies. When he joined, Orion was a $1 million startup. Under his leadership, it grew into a $50 million company recognised nationally for growth and workplace excellence.

“It wasn’t about adding headcount,” he explains. “It was about building scalable systems and a culture where people could perform at their best.”

The strategy worked. Orion became known not only for its financial growth but also for its strong workplace environment. “We had to scale fast, but we wanted to do it in a way that made people proud to be part of the team,” Pandya recalls.

Driving value at ICx Imaging Systems

Before Orion, Pandya was part of the leadership team at ICx Imaging Systems. There, he guided the company through rapid revenue expansion and positioned it for a successful IPO.

“It was a crash course in how to prepare a company for the public markets,” he says. “Every decision had to balance short-term performance with long-term positioning.”

That experience taught him the importance of operational discipline. “When you’re aiming for an IPO, you can’t just grow revenue, you have to show investors a sustainable model,” Pandya explains.

Founding Fulcrum Consulting

After leading two major growth stories, Pandya launched Fulcrum Consulting. As Founder and Principal, he now partners with manufacturing, defence, and technology firms. His approach blends strategy and execution to deliver measurable results.

In one case, a client tripled sales within 18 months. In another, throughput improved by more than 50% without adding staff. One company even increased its sales multiple by 2.5 after Fulcrum helped improve profitability, streamline operations, and reduce risk.

“These results don’t come from theory,” Pandya says. “They come from digging into the details, understanding the data, and leading teams through change.”

Lessons in leadership and growth

Pandya’s leadership style is rooted in authenticity. He believes people perform best when leaders are transparent about goals and challenges.

“When I walk into a new client, I’m not just looking at spreadsheets,” he says. “I’m talking to people on the shop floor, in sales, in customer service. That’s where you find the real levers for change.”

He also emphasises the importance of balance. “Growth without efficiency is reckless. Efficiency without growth is unsustainable. The magic is finding the right mix for each company.”

Recognitions along the way

Pandya’s work has earned recognition across industries. Orion appeared on the Inc. 5000 list. He was named Business Leader of the Year. Deloitte included his firm in its Fast 500 rankings.

While the awards are notable, Pandya sees them as a reflection of the teams he has built. “The recognition is nice, but what really matters is seeing a company become stronger, more resilient, and more valuable,” he says.

Insights for today’s business leaders

Pandya’s career offers lessons for executives navigating growth and change.

  1. Focus on Scalability: “If your systems can’t scale, your growth will collapse under its own weight.”

  2. Balance Growth and Efficiency: “You need both to create real enterprise value.”

  3. Stay Close to the Team: “Data is powerful, but conversations reveal what data alone can’t.”

  4. Mitigate Risk Early: “Reducing risk increases multiples. Investors pay for predictability.”

These insights are not abstract, they come from decades of building and advising companies.

Shaping what comes next

Today, Pandya continues to work with companies seeking transformation. Whether it’s boosting revenue, streamlining operations, or preparing for acquisition, his goal is the same: create measurable improvement that lasts.

“Every company has untapped potential,” he says. “The challenge is unlocking it in a way that creates long-term value, not just short-term wins.”

From startups to IPOs, from small manufacturers to national leaders, Pandya’s story is one of consistent transformation. It’s a reminder that with the right strategy, leadership, and execution, companies can achieve far more than they imagine.
