Enter the vision board. Some of you may be thinking, "Vision boards? That seems like a poor use of company time." But I'd challenge you to reconsider that perception. Vision boards are not only a fun way to get your team to step outside the formal patterns of everyday work habits but also an opportunity to create a unified sense of direction for the new year. You'd be surprised at how much fun dreaming together as a team can be and how motivating it is when you're all moving in the same direction with clarity and purpose! To plan your own team vision board for 2023, follow these steps:

  • Gather the team and explain the concept of a vision board. A vision board is a visual representation of what you want to achieve in the future. It can be a collage of pictures, quotes, and other things that inspire you and show what you want to achieve as individuals and as a team.

  • Set a date for the vision board session. This is a great team-building activity, so choose a time that works for everyone.

  • Encourage team members to bring materials that inspire them and represent their goals. These can include images, quotes, and other elements they want to include on the board.

  • Set up a large workspace where the team can lay out their materials and create their vision boards.

  • Encourage team members to be creative. Encourage them to dream big and include things on their vision board that may seem out of reach at the moment.

  • Take turns sharing your vision board with the team. As team members learn more about each other's goals, they should be encouraged to help and support each other.

  • Hang the completed vision boards in a central location where the team can see them every day. This will help keep the team motivated and focused on achieving their goals.

  • Check-in with the team regularly to see how they are progressing towards their goals and make adjustments as needed.

By creating a team vision board, you can make planning for 2023 fun and energizing. It's a great way to bring the team together and get everyone excited about what the future holds!
