Lisa Hansen is ecstatic to announce her graduation from The Conscious Parenting Institute, created by Dr. Shefali Tsabury. She will receive her official certification in March 2025.

Conscious Parenting Coaching gently guides parents on how to identify and heal from generational patterns so they aren’t passed down to their children. Parents who are called to this work often feel guilt and shame about repeating the patterns from their parents and have a desire to change them. For example, they vowed not to yell at their children, but find themselves stuck in a loop of repeatedly doing the one thing they vowed not to. There is no shame or blame in this. The good news is it’s a generational loop that can indeed be healed and completely transformed!

Learning how to parent consciously is quite different from traditional parenting. A Conscious Parent has the desire to not pass on the dysfunctional patterns of shame, blame, anger, control, yelling, and disconnection. Instead of wanting to fix their children and control them, they yearn for a deeper connection, feel ready to recognize them as sovereign beings, and want to put an end to passing down generational trauma, big or small.

Our children today need Conscious Parenting more than ever. With the constant use of smartphones, the all-time high of single and working parents, and global and economic stress and anxiety, our children feel more isolated, anxious, depressed, and disconnected than ever. Most parents also feel this way too. Many feel lost and isolated, unable to cope with their struggles at home. They yearn for loving support, understanding, and transformation. What’s making it worse is that in our society today, at least in the United States, many families have lost out on the joys of raising children with the help of a large, supportive community.

Conscious Parenting is about intentionally creating more meaningful connection and mutual respect with your children. It is not about enabling, indulging, or fixing them. Lisa’s work is based on helping parents find their way back to connection, stability, joy, laughter and ease. The result is raising confident, trustworthy, and connected children who have a deeper level of self-esteem and autonomy. When that happens, more love and harmony naturally arises within the entire family.
