Welcome to Libra season. I’ve been studying astrology for three years, and in the last year, I’ve been working on incorporating the energy into my daily life. I have found great success in living a more rhythmic life. As a self-development coach, I feel that the planets have a place and an impact on our lives. I’m looking forward to this season's newsletter. Don’t forget to read back on Virgo season and find some steps to help bring you closer to success.
Introduction to the houses
There are 12 Houses in the zodiac chart. First house: Physical appearance and Action. Second House: Finances, Values and Spirituality. Third house: Consciousness and Expression. Fourth house: Home, Family, and Domestic Affairs. Fifth House: Entertainment, Love Affairs, and Children. Sixth House: Perfection and Details. Seventh House: Marriage and Legal Affairs. Eighth house: Therapy, Big Change, and Sex. Ninth House: Higher Education and Travel. Tenth house: Career and responsibility. Eleventh house: Friends, Future and Technology. Twelfth House: Magic and Past Lives.
All about Libra
Libra is the seventh sign in our zodiac. This energy is soft and peaceful, known for its more romantic ways, as its ruling planet is Venus, the planet of love and beauty. The season starts September 23 and runs till October 22. This season brings fresh air after the scrutiny of the Virgo season. Virgo is the sign of order and strict deadlines. We can definitely enjoy the calmer “weather.” Libra's element is air. Depending on your personality and birth sign, you may or may not get along with its no commitment energy. Despite having the word “ relationship” hung tightly over the Libra energy. Landing a Libra is tricky. They love to love and enjoy a low-key lifestyle.
This doesn't mean it’s a sign you want to avoid when dating. It just means they enjoy non-confrontation, they are okay with letting things go if it doesn't work for them. Venus, being their planet, makes them quite a lover of beauty. They enjoy not just physical looks but also art shows, museums, music/concerts, and pleasing aesthetics. You definitely won't catch a messy Libra house.
The word Relationship really speaks to Libras. The romantic energy they bring to the table, mixed with their attention to beauty, makes you really think about relationships, especially with their planet being Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. But we shouldn't get too wrapped up around that word. The relationship is not just the dynamic between humans. It's also how you feel about your own self, the items around you, and how you relate to the world. After our heavy time in Virgo, you might have even come to some conclusions that it was time to let go of things, maybe cleaning out the closet.
Virgo, I find, is the month to get your personal life together, book doctors’ appointments, get back to budgeting, etcetera. Libra feels like it is time to let go and redevelop relationships. Not to mention it comes at the time when the leaves fall to the ground and cozy vibes take over. Not all Libras are the same. But with their airy nature, their ability to let things go is amazing.
Their non-confrontational energy makes them masters at forgiving, forgetting, and moving on. Don't let that talk you into thinking that they are emotionless. Libra is ruled by Venus, and they have big hearts and even bigger feelings. They are just equipped to handle situations a little differently than most other signs. Take Gemini, for example. They aren't the best at conflict resolution, mainly because their talkative nature can get them into trouble.
There are many lessons we can all take from Libras. They really are quite an amazing energy. Let's look into how we can incorporate these two qualities into our own daily lives.
Two things I love about Libras
Low-stress energy
Attention to beauty
Attention to beauty
Libras aren't the only ones who have an eye for beauty. Taurus & Leo also hold a keen eye for it. But with Venus being Libra's ruling planet, Libras takes the win. I like to assign this sign to our home and how we feel about ourselves. As I said before, the word relationship doesn't always mean the relationship between you and another person, with Libra season happening from late September to late October. Where I am from, this is when the weather starts taking a turn, and fall starts looking less and less attractive. The time for the seasonal closet change. I find this time to be one of the harder times to see the beauty. The sky is grey, and the clouds hang low. How can we use libras energy to create beauty at this time of season?
Rearrange your house: This doesn't need to be a hard task. You don't need to get a fresh pint of paint or spend hundreds of dollars on a new living room set. Unless that is what it's called. You can simply do the smallest things. Moving your couch to the other side of the room. Changing up the photos on the wall. Buying yourself flowers to brighten up the space.
Cleaning out the closet: I’m not a hoarder, but I do have a horrible tendency to keep clothes for far too long. I also have a tendency to never try on clothes and end up with too many non-fitting clothes. Part of me would say. I will fit that one day. Or. I’ll just resell it. You don't need to dedicate hours to this, set aside 10m-20m to focus energy on getting rid of anything that doesn't make you feel good about yourself.
Take yourself for dinner: I’m a stay-at-home working mum. I try my best to take myself out by myself. If not dinner a fancy coffee and maybe some errands. Late September to Late October is damp and dreary. Seasonal depression starts, and motivation to do anything is rather low. Dress up and take yourself out. Enjoy your favorite meal in peace. Savor the bites and sip your drink slowly. Indulge in the simple pleasure of your own company.
Low-stress attitude
After spending our time in Virgo season with the demand for perfectionism, I think we all could use less stress. Libra's element is air. Like air itself, you can't hold on to it. Libra wants non-confrontation. They don't enjoy arguments, and they love conversation. They don't love anger. They love passion. They fight only when it's something they desire and desire deeply. They will fight for the ones they love. Unlike its complete opposite, Aries, whose planet's ruler is Mars, the planet of war. Libra just wants peace. And they're pretty okay walking away. How do we embody this energy?
Ask yourself, “Does this bring me joy?” It's okay and perfectly normal if something you once loved does not bring you joy anymore. It's okay to put pauses on things or just give up on them. We need to rewrite the meaning of Failure. If you try and don't succeed. Does that mean you failed?
Declutter the house/space: I don't mean redecorating your home like the point before. This is a bit bigger. You might want to set a day for it and focus all your energy to that one task. I’m talking about that part of your house that you push every small thing into. For me, it's the drawer underneath our microwave and the file folder sitting in my studio closet. This could even be your emails Google Docs, or computer folders. Whatever you keep putting aside shoving loose ends into.
Learn to accept change: This is something I almost envy about Libras. They can accept change. Unlike my Aries naturer who sees change as a challenge to fight with aggression. Libras say their soft farewells and leave with hardly a mark. Aries can burn down bridges if the change doesn't suit them. Taurus is another sign that doesn't do great with change. After spending our time in Perfect Virgo. Libra can allow us to go with the flow. If you are a Taurus or Virgo this could be something you struggle with naturally. We can't expect life to go exactly how we plan and we must learn to go with the flow, allow change, and go with grace. After all, it's cozy season! Staying home is so cool.
