Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

After 5 years of living abroad, I like to say that New York raised me, but Spain healed me. In 2019, I relocated to Barcelona after previously working in the Cava region of Catalonia (2017-2018), where the Mediterranean sunshine and joy for life began to heal my previous burnout and allow me to work through past traumas. An experience that changed my priorities and exposed me to a quality of life which felt aligned to my values.

I am a first-generation American who grew up in a Latin household just outside of NYC, which is an upbringing I am grateful to have had. Offering access to explore my identity within two cultures and experience a rich scope of diversity. Experiences, that one may say, sparked my curiosity to see more of the world.

As an introverted extrovert, I love social gatherings where music can be enjoyed and there is a buzz of energy just as much as I appreciate calmer moments in nature or the comforts of home.

What inspired you to start TuVida Revolution, and what is the primary goal or mission behind your business?

Three months after moving back to Spain, I found myself unemployed due to visa issues but it felt like a sign from the universe. With an abundance of time and ambition, I knew that if I truly desired to live out my passion of helping others, I needed to bring my idea of an online coaching space to life. If I had put my therapeutic career, in New York, on hold to fulfill a personal goal of living abroad, why couldn't my professional life also match the intentionality of the lifestyle being built?

The vision to serve as an independent practitioner stemmed from my own personal experiences. I felt a pull to support women in their early adulthood navigate the aftermath of toxic environments. If I was able to look at and explore my own traumas, women with similar stories needed to know they could courageously do the same. A decision and commitment to oneself that allows a resilient woman to reclaim their life and take an empowered stance.

Since January 2020, this mission remains true and has evolved into Tu Vida Revolution. A space that aids in emotional strength and self-esteem through building new coping mechanisms and an upgraded belief system, fostering the confidence to work through moments of overthinking, fear or anxiety.

A combination of therapeutic modalities and holistic approaches are used to regulate your nervous system and develop helpful mind-body habits.

In this season of our lives, I believe we can confidently understand how to help our body and mind safely adapt when moving through extreme anxiety, worry, or stress. An ability that creates a feeling of empowerment to fully experience and complete the cycle of our emotions.

Can you describe the key products or services offered on your platform and how they contribute to the overall mission of TuVida Revolution?

Beyond in-person therapy and facilitating art therapy workshops and corporate wellness training in the Barcelona area, there are two other projects I'm passionate about.

Such as Tu Vida Revolution’s digital products and courses where women all over the world can learn more about themselves from the comfort of their homes. Depending on your needs and goals we can talk about the right product for you during a free 60-minute Reconnection Call. You'll begin to understand your inner obstacles on these calls, and you'll get tips and tricks to tackle them on your own. Additionally, short and long-term online thera-coaching is available.

Most recently, my sister and I have come together to create Sacred Spaces. We’ve created guided stationary on Amazon and templates on Etsy, aimed to uplift women from all backgrounds. Our mission is to promote more moments of personal care and self-reflection that inspire a balanced lifestyle and a healthier mindset and self-talk.

My experience as a therapist and my sister's artistic talents make each product purposefully designed to enhance your personal growth and encourage a consistent practice. The attention that goes into our journals, planners, and digital templates will give you confidence, clarity, and inner peace in the present moment.

Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far

When moving abroad, there can be a great deal of uncertainty. Particularly if the move does not involve any kind of visa sponsorship, a solid financial base, or an international pandemic away from loved ones. Looking back, I realized that my initial endeavours as an independent practitioner was born out of anxiety and uncertainty. I believed I could only provide therapeutic services online and that I would never practice therapy in person again for bureaucratic reasons.

My biggest accomplishment so far has been proving my limiting beliefs wrong. Firstly, by collaborating with a group practice that supports expats living in Barcelona with English-speaking services. An opportunity which allowed me to discover how much I enjoy commuting to a physical location and combining my online offers with in-person services. As I’ve reconnected with my love for in person work I am proud of fostering a close network circle of entrepreneurs, while cultivating a wellness community where art therapy workshops and corporate wellness trainings are facilitated.

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

Something I would change is the reliance on social media to promote your valuable services and showcase your unique perspective on the work you're passionate about. This is especially relevant when you're just starting out and don't have a team to help you create content and reach your ideal client.

Social media has mostly been a form of entertainment and connection. As an entrepreneur who's juggling multiple aspects of running a business, social media can be draining.

Therapists, coaches, and other people who help individuals feel better are motivated to put their knowledge into 5 seconds of interesting content. Any new content creator who is focused on resonating content and its outcome can be discouraged. Consumers use social media to avoid looking within, believing that their dream cannot be a reality and valuable content then tends to gets bypassed. Don’t get me wrong, I am also on this hamster wheel of creating psycho-educational content that may not reach the people who are looking for it.

As we normalize the interest in mental health, if Meta Facebook had a subplatform specifically designed for independent wellness providers (i.e.therapists, coaches, and thera-holistic providers) it removes the entertainment aspect of social media. Each month, new accounts are promoted to enable individuals with an interest in mental health and personal development to gain exposure to the work of newly trained practitioners. That way, every independent practitioner has an equal chance of connecting with their ideal clients and provides someone interested in receiving

thera-holistic services access to finding their right practitioner fit.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today

Trauma and love. After finding myself burned out and ending a toxic relationship, I felt lost and was looking to reconnect with myself. I believed the best way toward self-discovery was by travelling and fulfilling a dream of mine to live abroad. In doing so, I experienced a new culture, lifestyle, and space to recreate a sense of safety within myself. That when I wasn’t looking for it, I found love. A bond that brought me back to Spain to continue embodying the inner peace and curiosity to travel that the Mediterranean evoked.

What I have built and where I find myself today all comes from taking a leap that did not make sense societally but offered opportunities that I would never have imagined possible for myself.
