Inner Harmony CMH Launches The Clarity Thread, a New Mental Health Publication

Inner Harmony CMH, a Canadian, trauma-informed, virtual-first counselling practice founded and led by Ava Marie Somers, its sole practitioner, has launched The Clarity Thread on June 1, 2026, a new monthly publication available at The Clarity Thread. Created to bring language and deeper understanding to the emotional and relational truths that often live beneath the surface of our lives, the publication features original, clinically informed reflections exploring grief, identity, emotional safety, faith, boundaries, and the complicated work of becoming fully ourselves.

Concerned woman comforts stressed man at a laptop in a brick-walled office, her hand on his shoulder, holding a tablet.

The Clarity Thread aims to cultivate a community of thoughtful readers, people who pause long enough to think, question what is often taken for granted, and value writing that gives language to what can be difficult to name. Although Inner Harmony's counselling services are currently limited to Canada, the publication extends beyond those borders and is available to readers internationally at no cost.

"Writing has become another way for me to use a gift I have spent more than 25 years developing, not only through my work as a therapist, but through my own experience of being human," said Somers. "I am not standing outside the questions I write about. I, too, have known grief and loss, wrestled with uncertainty, and lived in many of the spaces between what was and what comes next. When I sit down to write, I feel as alive as I do in the therapy room. I created The Clarity Thread to extend meaningful reflection beyond individual sessions and offer something deeper than the mental-health content people often encounter while scrolling, including for those who may not have consistent access to therapy. My hope is to cultivate a community of readers who pause long enough to think and who value language, depth, and a more honest understanding of what it means to be human."

The title The Clarity Thread reflects both the publication's purpose and the way each issue unfolds. Clarity is one of the three core principles guiding the work of Inner Harmony CMH, alongside Connection and Congruence, and speaks to what can become possible when confusing or difficult experiences are given language, context, and greater coherence. Each issue takes up one thread at a time, following an idea, question, or human experience that belongs to a much larger tapestry. Alongside its central reflection, readers may encounter a personal note from Ava, a practical insight or gentle invitation to carry with them, and evolving features such as the "Word of the Month," which has begun to take shape during the publication's first year. Together, these elements create a layered reading experience intended to leave readers with something to consider, something to feel, and perhaps one thread of their own lives seen more clearly.

Readers can explore current and previous issues of The Clarity Thread on the Inner Harmony CMH website and subscribe to receive future issues directly. Readers who find something meaningful are invited to share the publication with someone else who may value a place to pause, reflect, and think more deeply.
