Dr. Michele Wells, Transformation Strategist

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

I am a wife, mother of four, and grandmother of seven. I am a University Professor of Social Work. I have been in higher education for 20 years. I love spending time with my family. I love the ocean and the conversations that make me laugh. I am a Christian woman who believes in the power of prayer! I am passionate about assisting women to be their authentic selves. I want to see women healed of the words and experiences that have caused them to live life through their wounds instead of walking into the fullness of their purpose.

What is your business name and how do you help your clients?

I am the CEO and founder of Courageous Voice Academy. My signature program is a twelve-week curriculum called Bold Voice. I take women through a process of identifying their fears and limiting beliefs, clarifying their values and strengths, and then creating their plan of action to move forward confidently. In the program, the clients do inner work to develop their self-awareness which results in their personal growth.

What kind of audience do you target your business towards?

I assist professional women who feel stuck or unfulfilled in life to develop their life plan to Rediscover purpose and passion, Realign with values and strengths, and Reset so that they can move from where they are and get to their destiny confidently.

What would you like to achieve for yourself and your business in the future?

I desire to serve women by helping them to live transformed lives that fulfill them and encourage them to walk out of their life’s purpose.

Who inspires you to be the best that you can be?

I am inspired by authentic people.

What is your work inspired by?

God has given me gifts of encouragement and prayer. It is what brings me joy and drives me to lift women in this way.

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

I don’t know that it’s so much of a change in the industry, but I would love to see people be brave enough to heal. There is so much fear that holds people back and keeps them from thriving. If I could change that I know that there would be so much more mental and emotional freedom.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

This may be the case for a lot of people, but becoming a mother and then becoming a grandmother shifted my focus. I realized as a mother that I had to be much more selfless. There was a responsibility that I felt to shape and nurture which meant that I had to get out of my way. As a grandmother, I was reminded that I have a legacy. This transition in my life made me think, and it compels me today to reach for greater. I want to be an example and leave a legacy that will encourage my family long after I am gone.
