As the holiday season is here, what better time to talk about how to harness the power of love in order to manifest what we truly desire for 2022, whether it is to find true love, improve our relationships overall, or any other kind of success we want in our lives. If you are a big holiday enthusiast like I am, you probably can’t help but feel the warm and fuzzy vibes of the season. A general energy and sentiment of warmth, love, giving and hope sweep through the world at this time. So how can we cultivate this to manifest our dreams?

Remember Love is the highest frequency we can vibe at to which the Universe, Source, God, Higher Power (whatever you would like to call it), conspires to help us create a life we truly desire because it is also vibrating at that frequency. As the law of attraction indicates, what we focus our energy on through our thoughts, beliefs and feelings, is what we draw to ourselves, whether it is something we want or don’t want. And as with the law of vibration “like energy attracts like energy”, we attract the same sort of energy we are vibrating at. So in essence, when we are vibrating at the frequency of Love, we are being who we truly are, which is Love itself. That aspect of your Higher Self does not need to be reminded to love itself, others, or the world because it is Love itself. It is its very nature and beams love like the Sun radiates light to the rest of the world. However, most of us are trapped within our Ego or psychological mind (call it whatever you will), which masks us from seeing our true self because the Ego mind is associated with the physical and material world, and so seeks outwardly pleasure to feel good. The major irony is this whole time our true source of joy and love is within us, but as the old adage goes, there’s so much dust on our mirror that we can’t see our true reflection.

So given where we are, what can we do to slowly remove that dust, align ourselves closer to who we truly are and raise our frequency towards that of Love?

1. Meditate daily. Meditation is a process that allows you to slowly access your Higher Self so that it is this conscious aspect of you that eventually starts to operate in the foreground and the “Ego self” takes a back seat. This process takes time, patience, persistence and dedication, so don’t go into it trying to force a result. Just experience it for what it is. Initially, you can start for 5-10 min if you find it difficult in the beginning, and then gradually increase the increment of time as you become more comfortable. There are various forms of meditations such as mantra meditations, breathing meditation, third eye meditation etc., so find an instructor or guru that can guide you with this, and choose one practice that is the most suitable for you. I personally remember after meditating for several months, the same behaviors that used to trigger me stopped bothering me and didn’t seem like a big deal after all. This is an example of some changes you can expect with meditation.

2. Spending time in nature and observing nature. This one is my personal favorite. Nature is so vast and so beautiful that there is no words really to describe it. Often we spend time in nature without actually acknowledging what is around us. For example, we may go for a hike with our headphones on, or we may sit in a park and be on our phones the entire time. The true magic happens when we disengage from all that and simply observe the Life around us from the smallest insect to the biggest mountain. Try and listen to the sounds of the birds chirping or the sound of a nearby stream flowing. Look at how two squirrels engage with one another or notice how the trees blow in the wind and how the breeze moves across your body. Be present to Life itself and you will find a deeper part of you connecting with everything around you. Immerse yourself in this magnificent orchestra.

3. If you feel something negative, simply observe it without judgement until the feeling is gone. This is an exercise I have been practicing and I find it works well. When we resist a feeling, it perpetuates, which is the exact opposite of what we want. Instead, just monitor those feelings until they dissipate. Don’t immerse yourself into the feeling because then the negative thoughts will start to come at full speed, but instead simply observe as a silent, objective bystander. Once it dissipates, it will not have that hold on you, and you will be able to move forward in a lighter and freer state of being.

4. And finally ask yourself, “What makes me feel the feelings of Love?” This could be spending time with a particular loved one, it could be a pet, or it could be a fun activity that you enjoy. Whatever it is, schedule it into your calendar to ensure it happens, and try to make time for this daily if possible. Do what makes your soul sing and what makes you feel good. If you are not sure what that is for you, it is time to experiment and try new things and see what appeals to you. Discover what you truly love and enjoy. This will help to raise your vibration, and if you can’t physically participate in something, visualize it and soak in the feelings of joy and love as if it’s happening now.

Final Words

So how do we know when we are closer to being Love itself?

To me, there are five elements that come to mind when it comes to being love. It's not limited to five (there could be more) but for now, these five have stood out to me. These five qualities are empathy, kindness, compassion, trust and nonjudgment. When we are feeling the full flow of love, we will naturally have the tendency to embody these five elements to a greater degree with ease when it comes to our interactions with others. The best example I can think of that fits close to illustrating this is having a pet. Regardless of how our pet behaves, whether it’s being naughty, irksome or just being super cute and cuddly, we accept them and love them anyway. We realize this is part of their nature and this is just how they are. There are no expectations. It is just full acceptance. So similarly with people, we learn to see them from this bird’s eye view and realize that the way they are is where they are in their journey, and everyone is doing the best they can with what they know at that point and time.

However, let’s take one step back. Before we are able to show these qualities to others, it's extremely important that we're able to show it to ourselves first because what we feel for ourselves within is consequently what ends up being emitted to others. Accept yourself fully-the strengths and weaknesses because you are the full package. Personal growth is always a choice and the opportunity to create your life lies in your hands. The simple practices mentioned above will start your journey inward and help you along your way.

If you are looking to find the right partner and are feeling some kind of resistance to finding love, I invite you to a powerful coaching conversation to see how we can help you move past this so that you can move forward with ease and attract and create a happy, healthy, lasting relationship for yourself.
