Sometimes it feels like the world is falling apart… Climate change, devastating weather events, change, war in Europe ‒ and all over the world. I feel so helpless and ineffective! What can I do? How do I do my bit? First of all, let’s take the pressure off. It’s not your job to save the world. You are not responsible for what’s going on out there. What you are responsible for is your bit of the world. Your actions, your thoughts and your impact on the environment around you.

The Guilt

LiveAid happened in 1985. I was 9 years old. I remember watching all the films on tv about starving people and how much they needed our help. Drastic action was needed immediately. My reaction was: GUILT. I felt absolutely awful that I had food to eat, a roof over my head and family that loved me. I couldn’t articulate it at the time but I can see myself in my mind’s eye, watching those things and feeling completely helpless, powerless and wrong.

My pain won’t create your healing

I now know that you can’t suffer enough to relieve the world. You can’t starve yourself to feed other people. Your poverty doesn’t give others money. Your misery does not make the world happy. My pain won’t create your healing. My healing will add to your healing. My joy inspires your joy. My freedom adds freedom to the world. When you get yourself happy, when you feel like you’re part of the solution, then everything is easier. I don’t know what’s coming but I have chosen to feel as good as I can. You can feel good, you can feel bad – really the choice is yours. It doesn’t impact anyone other than you, in the long run.

What do we do?

I don’t know what to do to save the planet. I recycle and I live responsibly. I do my best to make good decisions. I’m kind and respectful. I keep doing my work, I keep showing up and I do my best not to worry about what’s coming. Today, life is good. Today, the sun shining. Today, I am loved and I love. And I believe a solution will come. My work is not to save the planet, my work is to help people feel better. That’s my job, I help people to heal their pain. It’s my calling. And I am passionate about it. Maybe the more I show up and live my passion, the more others will too…

Live on purpose

What are you being called to do? What’s your part in this wonderful, chaotic, awe-inspiring Universe that we live in? Are you living on purpose or are there changes you would like to make? All you need to do is feel as good as you can, trust your intuition and let it guide you to your best life.

Jemima is passionate about what she does and is an experienced and extremely effective practitioner. Jemima had begun training to be a counsellor when she discovered EFT. This background, easy rapport and strong empathy lead to quick, long-lasting and deep resolution of often long term issues. She went from being too scared to stand with the other mum’s at the school gate, to being a School Governor, all within 6 months of her training. She now gives talks and runs workshops without any anxiety issues. This is largely down to the EFT and Matrix Reimprinting work she has done. After Jemima trained, she soon became full-time practitioner and now gets to tap every day!
