Have you ever felt like every day feels like you’re playing another game of Jenga?

A photo of jenga blocks.

This strategic game invites you to construct a mountain of odd pieces increasing the risk that at some point the tower is bound to come tumbling down as you remove one piece at a time. Sometimes an average day can feel like this as your to-do list appears to get higher from moment to moment.

You may be thinking about the “tower” of responsibilities and unexpected circumstances that yet again seem to be self-constructing themselves around you each day.

If you take another look at this “tower of Jenga”, that list of “must do” items that stand before you, how can you view this mass of things with emotional strength so you don’t even feel that potential tap that brings the tower crumbling down?

“The difference between a mountain and a molehill is your perspective.” – Al Neuharth

Though you might not be able to predict what can occur, how might you focus on minimizing the mountain of responsibilities stacked up on your list and strengthen yourself instead?

You may say to yourself that it’s not possible to reduce that mountain to a molehill. Is that true?

So, what might you like to do that you’re not already doing to experience more inner peace rather than exhausting yourself to complete the never-ending list?

“ME” time won’t jump on the daily “tower of Jenga” itself. It’s up to you to choose how high you build the tower and when you choose to climb over it to prioritize yourself.

A big misconception is that “ME” time is a luxury. The truth is it’s a necessity!

So, set yourself up with some “ME” time regularly and become stronger no matter what the day stacks onto your list.
