I’m not sure what you’ve tried before when it comes to creating change in your life, but trust me, this one is worth the try! So many people turn to meditation, affirmations, journaling, and other techniques, but in my book, creative visualization is by far the most effective way to manifest whatever you desire in life. I first discovered this powerful tool when I was 18 after randomly coming across a book someone left on a bench. That book was all about the subconscious mind and creative visualization. That’s when I started experimenting with my imagination, and this new thing I had just discovered was called my subconscious mind. Fun stuff!
I read that book again and again, and I still read it today. It was the first time I explored what my mind could actually do, and boy, I was in for a surprise. To this day, I believe creative visualization to be the best secret ingredient to manifesting what you want in life and a KEY component to succeeding at anything in life.
What is Creative Visualization?
Creative visualization is the art of using your imagination to reach a goal. You can use this to better your health, improve your appearance, better your relationships, change bad habits, find clarity and purpose, create abundance, attract the ideal partner, and whatever else you want to work on, improve or attract into your life! Creative visualization is all about creating positive mental images of what we want to experience in life. It’s a practice that allows you to take control of your life, and create the life you want. As a result, you will feel more happiness, contentment, and a greater sense of purpose and alignment with who you are.
The 7 Steps of Creative Visualization
Determine your goals and what you wish to see happening
Physically and mentally relax
Visualize what you want as if you are already have the desire outcome (add as many details as possible and really feel with all 5 senses)
Come out of the visualization
Affirm that you have what you want
Act as if you already obtained what you want
Repeat the process often, and take action towards your goal
How it Works!
Too many people believe they can’t change themselves or they can’t change their life! This is far from the truth! If you don’t like your current situation, you can change at any time. Things never have to stay the same! One important thing to keep in mind is that you’ve got to believe it can happen. You can’t visualize and at the same time have doubts, hesitations, or fears getting in the way. You have to become aware that your thoughts and feelings are very powerful, and that the negative inner dialogue needs to go if you want to allow good things to happen. If you experience negative thoughts, and feelings you will attract more of the same, nothing will change.
The subconscious always helps manifest what you ask for, and what you put out there. I’m sure you’ve hear of the law of attraction before. It’s a law, just like the law of gravity! It’s very precise. In order for visualization to work effectively, you have to let go of some old beliefs and blockages, have fun and be creative with your imagination, and stay positive and hopeful that you will be getting what you want.
Tune In Your Personal Power
What’s amazing about working with creative visualization is that it’s fun, and it can become addictive! Even better than that, it allows you to reconnect with yourself and your creative power. Soon after you start using this tool you will realize that nothing can stop you from getting what you want. You are in charge of your life! Millions of people have obtained the results they wanted simply by learning how to use the power of their brain as an incredible instrument that can bring anything they desire.
Creative Visualization Essentials
Make sure you truly want whatever you visualize. This “goal” needs to be very significant for you.
You cannot visualize to manipulate, hurt or control other people.
Learn to relax your body and mind before visualizing. You will change the brain waves of your brain, and can better enter the subconscious mind when in a deep relaxed state.
Don’t question “how” this will actually happen. Don’t overthink when it comes to the actual way something will come into your life, or the steps to get to where you want to be. The universe will present opportunities to you in unexpected ways. Don’t force things, just focus on what you want and send it energy.
Use as many senses as possible in your visualization.
Keep your visualization simple, and always positive.
Keep it personal. Don’t share with others what you are aiming for. Keep it in your heart, and protect that vision from the judgement and negative energy of others.
As you use creative visualization, you will find that you are slowly becoming the master of your life. You get to design the existence you want, and get to decide who you want to be. My wish is for everyone to experiment with this fascinating tool, and create the life they want.
