When I first launched Talk Bari To Me, I had one mission in mind: to create the safe space I never had. A place where stories could be shared without shame, where the bariatric community could be seen, heard, and celebrated. What started as a podcast has become so much more: a global platform, a thriving business, and a movement that continues to uplift, educate, and empower people navigating life after weight loss surgery and obesity treatment.

Creating a platform rooted in purpose and authenticity

As a certified trauma-informed life coach and someone who has personally experienced the complexities of obesity, weight loss surgery, and transformation, I knew the bariatric community needed more than just information; we needed connection. Talk Bari To Me was built from lived experience and fueled by empathy. Our mission is simple: to amplify the stories that often go unheard and to bring education, encouragement, and empowerment to those on their own journey.

Mindset coach tip: Your story holds power. In both business and healing, authenticity attracts alignment. Don’t be afraid to build something based on the exact thing you once needed.

Chances are, someone else needs it too.

The power of a purpose-driven team

Behind every global brand is a team with heart. I have the honor of working alongside two incredible women: Ariesa Dunham, our social media manager, who ensures our online presence is strong and authentic, and Drew Martinez, our assistant producer, who brings each episode to life with precision and care. What connects us goes beyond work; we’re all part of this community. We've each experienced our own version of the obesity journey, which allows us to show up with unmatched empathy and intention.

Mindset coach tip: Surround yourself with people who share your values and your vision. The right team doesn’t just support your mission; they expand it. Collaboration rooted in purpose will always create a deeper impact.

Elevating every voice in the bariatric and obesity community

From bariatric surgery and GLP-1 medications to holistic lifestyle changes, Talk Bari To Me covers all facets of the weight loss journey. Our guests range from medical professionals to everyday heroes, each bringing their truth, resilience, and vulnerability to the table. We don’t shy away from the tough topics. We celebrate the wins, discuss the setbacks, and, most importantly, honor the individuality of each path.

What sets us apart is our global reach and our unwavering commitment to inclusive storytelling. We aren’t just a podcast, we’re a platform for advocacy, education, and representation.

Mindset coach tip: In a world full of noise, be the voice that amplifies others. Use your platform to elevate stories that deserve to be heard. Diversity in storytelling creates real change.

A recognized brand and expanding vision

In a defining moment for our community, Talk Bari To Me was honored with the Just Be You Award for Leading Bariatric Podcast. That recognition was more than a milestone; it was a symbol of how far we’ve come and a catalyst for where we’re going. Today, our brand includes:

  • Digital guides tailored to support patients through every phase of the bariatric journey.

  • Private support groups that foster belonging, healing, and community.

  • A new coaching arm that blends bariatric support with trauma-informed life coaching to address emotional health and mindset.

Mindset coach tip: Celebrate your wins, but never get comfortable. Let every recognition reaffirm your impact and challenge you to level up. Expansion requires clarity and courage.

What’s next for talk Bari to me?

We’re just getting started. Our future is bold, intentional, and global. From new podcast collaborations to international outreach, we’re committed to expanding our impact and evolving our resources to serve our community at every level.

Mindset coach tip: Lead with legacy in mind. When your mission is bigger than you, momentum becomes inevitable. Stay focused, stay aligned, and trust that what you’re building matters.

Talk Bari To Me isn’t just the world’s No.1 bariatric podcast; it’s a beacon of hope, healing, and transformation for people around the globe.
