There's a hidden cost of living life on your own terms…but it’s so worth it.

When you look at someone who is successful, glamorous, and living their life on their own terms, it can be easy to get stuck in the misconception that it’s because they had it easy getting there, while you don’t. Don’t give into that idea. Firstly, freedom and living life on your own terms can be for everyone – there isn’t a special group of people that can do it. Secondly, freedom has a price, sure, but one that’s oh-so worth it!

As a mindset and business coach for minority women entrepreneurs, I know that anyone who sets their mind to something CAN achieve it, with a little guidance, a helping hand, and the right tools of course. Want to start living your life confidently, win the games in your own field, and start seeing your business flourish? Here’s how from someone who’s been there.

Freedom Means Setting Boundaries:

You set the limits for your own mindset and your own life with your boundaries. The healthier and more established your boundaries are, the more freedom you’ll have to do things your own way. Setting personal and professional boundaries, especially as women, can be HARD. But it’s essential if you don’t want to get tossed by every wind of someone else’s opinion. Boundaries give you the space you need to work your magic. Here’s how you start implementing them in your own life:

  • Understand your personal and business needs and learn how to communicate them clearly

  • Value your own opinions and be willing to defend your ideas

  • Accept others’ boundaries – if someone tells you no, respect that

Having personal and professional boundaries in place limits your stress and frees you up to be creative and mentally ready to flourish rather than merely survive all the time.

Freedom Means Sticking It Out:

If you’re on the journey towards becoming a self-actualized woman, you know that the road goes uphill and downhill. The most valuable mindset you can take with you on your travels is consistency. Progress isn’t achieved through doing something really hard once; you need to keep sticking it out to do it every day. This is where having accountability, like a mentor or mindset and business coach, is so important.

Freedom Means Giving Up What’s Holding You Back:

Sometimes, the hardest lesson we need to learn is not how to reach forward towards our business goals, but how to let go of what’s holding us back. Whether it’s a career choice that limits your options, bad habits or fearful mindsets, or simply a lack of trust in yourself, it’s time to let it go.

If there’s anyone who knows the growing pains inherent to crafting a life that’s completely my own… it’s me. That’s why I want to be there with you, every step of the way! Start living your life confidently and be empowered with me, your trusted mindset and business coach in 2022. Freedom is on the way!
