In recent years, there has been growing interest in complementary and alternative therapies to augment conventional medical treatments; particularly in the realm of chronic illness management. Among these modalities, Reiki, a holistic healing technique originating in Japan, has garnered attention for its ability to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and facilitate healing on emotional and physical levels.

While Reiki's mechanisms of action may not align with conventional scientific paradigms, its popularity among patients and practitioners alike has sparked curiosity within the medical community. As we navigate the complex landscape of modern health care, it becomes increasingly important to consider alternative modalities that complement conventional medical approaches. By shedding light on the therapeutic potential of Reiki, this article endeavors to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of integrative health care practices that prioritize the well-being of patients.

The centre for Reiki research

The Center for Reiki Research (C.R.R.) is dedicated to Reiki research and promoting the scientific awareness of Reiki. It conducts quality research and provides an updated archive and summary of all evidence-based Reiki research published in peer reviewed journals. The C.R.R. offers guidance and direction for researchers, practitioners, and clinicians that want to conduct Reiki research. The Center seeks to generate empirical evidence to inform both the public and the medical community about the potential benefits of Reiki.
