Louise Siwicki, International Fertility Coach

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

The thing people find extraordinary about me is I had three children in under three years, but the truly extraordinary bit is that I struggled with infertility for six years before becoming a mother. That life-changing experience of transformation led to me becoming a coach who specialises in supporting women in the workplace who are battling infertility. As the head of country development for the European Fertility Society, these days my reach is global, but my message and mission remains very personal.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

One moment in time changed the course of my life forever. It was the moment the news was delivered from my fertility specialist after 6 years of trying that she wouldn’t see me for 6 months as I needed to address my physical and mental health, I was never going to fall pregnant if I didn’t she said. I went home that night, looked up at the stars and prayed to universe for help. That moment gave me the motivation and courage to change the course of my life forever. It was time to finally heal my mind and body. Rediscover the love, joy and trust that had been lost under years of infertility struggles.

Fast forward 5 years I am now healthy, happy, the mother to 3 beautiful children and through my pain I finally found my purpose, coaching woman in business who are battling fertility issues.

What is the main purpose or mission behind your website/business, and what inspired you to start it?

My aim is to transform the mental health of career woman who are struggling to realise their dreams of becoming a mum. To support them with evidence-based strategies and techniques to remove the psychological blocks preventing them from falling pregnant.

My mission in 2023 is to educate workplaces about fertility, the toll it takes on team members and how to support any team member on a fertility journey. With 1 in 6 (according to the World Health Organisation) now struggling to conceive, that’s over 17% of the workforce at any one time. This is unfortunately not going away and is very much a workplace issue.

Why is fertility a workplace matter?

Infertility is a silent invisible disease, and many will,

  • Loose confidence in themselves and their bodies.

  • Start to retreat inwards, shut out the world. Retreat from colleagues and managers, family and friends.

  • Become overwhelmed with stress, anxiety and fear regarding their ability to realise their dreams.

With this in mind there is inevitably an invisible toll being taken on productivity and your bottom line. This is why fertility is a workplace matter. And this is why it is imperative we provide psychological and wellbeing support from those specially trained and understand the emotional roller-coaster that is infertility.

How do support your clients?

Most of my clients come to me stressed, anxious, overwhelmed and paralysed with fear they will never realise their dreams of becoming a mum. Together we navigate these emotions with evidence-based tools and strategies. I coach my clients using my proven Fertility Activation Strategy to

  1. Process their emotions, the grief, sadness, anxiety, and fear.

  2. Understand how to calm their mind, nervous system so they are no longer constantly living in fight/flight and stress response mode.

  3. Cultivate love, joy and happiness again.

  4. Create a changed thinking and transformed mindset. This then allows for a new empowering story to be written. And it is from this place that magic happens and dreams come true.

Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far.

This year I was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Applied Psychology, represented Australia and was shortlisted as global Best Fertility Coach in the Fertility Care Awards 2023 and was appointed Head of Development Australia at the European Fertility Society. This year has been an incredible year so far for my business and for that am eternally grateful.

My goal is to translate your dreams into reality and these career achievements for me are proof that this is happening.
